MU-2 Elevator Trim Tabs
FlyDSimWare, I've tried to obtain the latest updates for the MU2-B but FsPilotShop is still offering the 1.7 version. I 'm sure the 1.8 has been sent to them, but their instructions for "tecnical" inquiries advise us to check diectly with the Developer. TX BTW: thank you for this beautiful model. I've taken many rides on the Moo down in South Texas.....built like a tank !

Could I fly a real Boeing 737-800?
I've had the "The crew has been poisoned by the in-flight meals. I'll just swing open the cockpit door and land the 737" dream too. Despite being the holder of, no longer active, PPL, Instrument and Multi tickets, I'd say probably not likely. If the A/C and it's systems had not been compromised, I'd probably be able to coax the autopilot to execute an autoland at a very long and wide CATIII R/W with the help of a highly skilled and infinitely patient 737 expert talking me through it on the ground. Even then I'd probably short circuit something with the sweat and tears pouring from my body on the way down. Since I saw Gravity at our local movie theater, I've decided that the ISS/ spacewalk/fiery descent back to mother earth scenario might be easier. Apparently all you have to do is master the CO2 bottle trick, punch some random buttons on Russian and Chinese panels and hold on tight.

Time compression - why I'm done with Virtual Airlines
I totally agree with you descision. VAs are really not your bag. I've been around Flight Sims and VAs since the programs were on floppies and the VAs were on Bulletin Boards. I like VAs but unlike many virtual pilots don't really give a hoot about log books, rules, ranks or awards. I've flown with many VAs over the years and was glad to abide by their rules, SOP or whatever you wish to call them as a member signing on with those limitations in mind. I'm still a member of a VA and enjoy the social part of joining a group with like interests. That being said, when I can't or won't fly utilizing the guidelines of my VA, I'll fly off line, off ACARS and off the silly virtual logbook. I'm a firm believer that Pilot in Command time does not include time while at work, at school, at the beach, at 8X Compression or anywhere else that you don't have control of the A/C you're supposed to be flying. Now, if I want to take off in Denver on a snowy morning in July and make a CATIII Approach in Heathrow in the heaviest fog known to man many hours later for my own enjoyment, I do. I just don't involve a VA, credit for Pilot in Command logged hours or it's rules. I simply crank up the time compression, adjust the WX to my liking and have fun. BTW, I love Quantum Leap, fits right into my "fun" mode. Smitty
