  1. Hi Ian, can i ask just out of curiosity, what driver version you are running with your 550ti? Thanks.
  2. Thing is now, the stuttering has stopped and the problem that i have noticed now...( it might have done it before, i did't check) ...is when i open the kneeboard the screen goes black for a mili sec and all my edges that were nice and smooth before have gone all jaggy (the anti-aliasing issue) or whatever you call it. there are no blurry textures and missing textures just all these jaggy edges on runway edges, buildings e.t.c then when i exit the kneeboard, again it goes black for a mili sec and it goes back to normal.Sounds like conflicting software right well i did a diagnostic boot-up and that doesnt sort it and with this sort of boot up it diasbles the my virus software anyway.I was using the 270.61 drivers with my GT220 so it can't be the drivers conflictingI have just installed the newest drivers as well: 275.33 I got a tech guy to test my memory and hard drive and everything was a ok.Thing is though something else isnt right the my pc either and this isnt concerning flight sim. i bought the genuine version of windows 7 and activated it successfully but after a few days instead of showing me the 'status' and 'product I.D' under 'windows activation' in 'computer', both just say 'not available' and not always but a message comes up in the bottom right of the screen saying 'this version of windows is not genuine'Thank-you for the input guys anyway.To...'W6kd'I did what you suggested and that had no effectThanks for the suggestion anyway!
  3. I would please like some help with an fs9 stuttering problem....System Specs: Windows 7 Professional 64 BitIntel i3 540 @ 3.07GhzNvidia Geforce GTX460 1GB. Driver version 270.614GB Ram @ 1333MhzI am doing a complete install of FS9.The problem i am experiencing is very minor but very annoying and its bit hard to explain but here goes....the stutter happens when changing views in the cockpit using any default aircraft. So i'm sat at on the runway, apply full throttle and say i look to the left using numpad 4 or the joystick hat switch then let go and it reverts back to the normal forward view, it then pauses for a second, and this happens everytime i change any view in the cockpit whether its looking right or forward right or backwards to reverting back to the forward view. and i found that if i click with my mouse outside of the cockpit, it pauses for a second and everythings ok and there is no stutter when looking left or right e.t.c but then if i click on something in the cockpit like the landing light switch, the stutter starts up again. Yes this is only minor i know but its really annoying me and i want to get to the bottom of whats causing it.I've recently upgraded to win 7 and a gtx 460 and the latest drivers and also a new power supply with PCI-E power connectors but before that i was using win xp pro 32-bit and an nvidia gt220 1gb on the same PC and i had everything maxed out on fs9 with 40-70FPS and no problems and the problem started when i did my upgrade, after i completed my upgrade everything was fine with FS9 and i started messing about with programs 'nvidia inspector' and 'nhancer' changing graphic settings to the ones recommended in one topic in the avsim forums, i started FS9 up again to test out what i had changed, decided i did't really like it, exited FS9, loaded up 'nvidia inspector' pressed 'restore defaults', loaded up FS9 again and thats when the problem started. And also when i had done the upgrade, i connected everything to the computer and turned it on, then realised i'd forgot to connect in the vga connector into my computer so i connected it while the PC was still turned on and read somewhere later on that your not supposed to do that. Have i knackered something up? could that be the problem?I use FSX as well and there are no issues with that.I've re-installed fs9 and that doesn't resolve it.I formatted my hard drive before installing win 7 and that hasnt resovled it.I re-installed FS9 on my older computer which has win xp home 32-bit on it which i used to play FS9 on years ago and it does exactly the same thing! when it did't before.Installing FS9 service pack 1 doesnt resolve it.I've done a clean boot up and that doesn't resolve it.I even unistalled my graphics driver and enabled the onboard graphics and that hasn't sorted it.I took out my new gtx460 and put in my old gt220 which was working fine with fs9 before and it still does it.I don't want to really use FSX as my first sim cause FS9 is much better and i am tearing my hair out over this.Help would be much appreciated,Thank-you all.
