Hi PMDG...Thanks for a great product! Only problem I've had so far is excessive fuel temperature. It's too hot. I first noticed a problem when I loaded the sim and aircraft in cold dark and quiet state. There was approx 4k lbs of fuel each wing tank and none in the center fuel tank. Once I connected electrical power, I immediately noticed EMDP over temp on the overhead panel. Asking maintenance to take a look revealed two failures active, but even after clearing the active failures, I still had overtemp condition. I searched the forum and saw a post that addressed this...suggesting that the problem was low fuel levels (since fuel is used to cool hydraulic system). So I carried on and tried another flight. This time, same symptoms, cleared the active failures, still had overtemp. Then I noticed that my fuel temp gauge in the overhead panel was reading off-scale high. Even at FL380, I have off-scale high reading on the fuel temp gauge. I'm guessing this is what's generating the EMDP overtemp. I don't know whether this is a bug or if there's something I can do to get fuel temperature down. Any suggestions? Thanks! Troy

Not sure what's fixed the problem, but here's what I did:Uninstalled all PMDG aircraftUninstalled FSX accelerationUninstalled FSXRemoved all FSX folders remaining (cache files, game folders, etc)Reinstalled FSX to c:/FSX (NOT the default directory)Started FSX to initialize fsx.cfg fileReinstalled FSX acceleration from DVDReinstalled PMDG MD11Reinstalled PMDG 747-400XReinstalled PMDG 747-8i/f All aircraft run and look perfect.Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion Ryan, I did add HIGHMEMFIX=1 and there was no change, still missing parts of the airplane. This also happens with the 747 (although not as much, it looks like I'm just missing the leading edge of the wing).My system is 64-bit Windows 7, Intel Core 2 quad cpu8gb ramnvidia geforce 9600 GSI also have installed SP1 for FSXif any additional information would help provide a fix, I'll provide it....I love the software...just wish the external views were completeTroy Nicholson

I purchased PMDG's MD11 and have had no problems with software with this exception. Whenever I switch to an external view, there are parts of the aircraft that are missing (all three engines, rudder, elevators, pieces of the slats and flaps). I am running windows 7 64 bit. The MD11 model flies perfectly, the only issue is the "missing pieces" when I look at an external view. Any assistance is appreciated!Thanks....Troy
