Just as the title says, the flight director, and as a consequence, the auto pilot, does not work. On top of this, LNAV refuses to engage with the message NOT ON INTERCEPT HEADING when I'm both on a correct heading and have one selected on the MCP. Any thoughts into this? Luís Raimundo

Hi everyone, Every time I turn off the auto pilot, using Z, or the autothrottle, with a keyboard command, I get a warning. Now, I know this is normal, but in the planes I fly and the NGXs documents agree with me on this, pressing Z twice should cancel the warning. The problem is that for me it causes the autopilot to reengage. As for the autothrottle, I'm aware you should use the instinctive button on the levers, but just before landing, its not easy to switch to VC, pan around, and back to the 2D panel. Any thoughts on this? Luis Raimundo

Ok, so I bought the NGX, thinking I'd suffer a bit of FPS loss compared to MD11 I own. With the MD I'd get around low twenties using middle to high settings and addon Aerosoft Scenery. But with the NGX, it's useless. I can only get decent FPS while using the 2D panel, and putting the settings all to the far left. Problem is, the 2D panel itself isn't sufficient to fly, for example, putting the flaps out it's nearly impossible. I have run my fsx.cfg file through the website the introduction manual mentions.Running Windows 7, 32 bit, with this hardware,Core 2 Duo 2.53Ghz4GB RAM DDR3NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256MB shared with RAMNow, this is a laptop, I'm aware the only upgrades I can make are to upgrade the RAM to 8GB (?) and change the OS to 64 bit. Would that be enough to increase the FPS count to a playable level? Or I better just go broke and buy a half decent desktop? I'm always on the move...Cheers,Luís Raimundo

Hey everyone, After starting up FSX for the first time in a couple of months, I came across with the attached error message.The symptoms I found out while testing the MD11 were that sounds like the parking brake being set, cautions and warnings, flap handle movement, were not being played. I have the Mega Airport Lisbon X scenery installed, and everytime I try to load a SID or a STAR on the FMC of the MD11 I get a CTD I also have the AES active for Lisbon, but I don't believe that's part of the issue since I believe the same thing has happened before with the same airport, but I thought it was another issue. Also, on departure from CDG, again with the Aerosoft scenery, when I loaded up the STARS, not even the runways were available to select from. I'm going to try to upload AIRAC and see if it helps, but in the meanwhile, does anyone has any idea of what might be causing this? Sorry if it's a known issue, but a quick search revealed nothing.
