  1. i have been thinking about PMDg making a FFS where instructor's stations are made. we can set weather failures, check out systems status, set the plane's position, etc. that will be cool. Is there any possibility that PMDG can do it?
  2. the best way to do it is: select the DEP/ARR page and then select the runway without any VOR/NDB/ILS -----this is called visual approach and then put in the distance your ATC cleared you on the next line. that's it!
  3. no i don't think it has anything to do with the CWS. because it is about position updating.if there is no radio in the range, according to the FCOM the FMC is using GPS and IRS postions! But the problem is as you can see in the pic, no radio updating is being done, how can the radio position (on the right fmc) continues to provide corrdinates?
  4. what about this? is the radio is being tuned? if not, how can the radio coordinates be shown on the page in the right CDU?
  5. i don;t understand: i am at FL 396. the AGL is at least 39500ft Why is the terrain display like this?radio update question: at present there is only one DME used for navigation? how can one DME know where the plane is? thanks
  6. i typed one ICAO code into the POS INIT page. And there goes its coordinate. But if i typed a gate number of that airport it shows NOT IN THE DATA BASE I tried a lot of airports. the problem remains. So, how can i manually modify FSX files to add gates coordinates?
  7. another possibility: you clicked the scratchpad! There will be a green box on it. Click again!
  8. i knew what i did i was asked by ATC to leve off at 26600, so when i reach 26600, the FMC starts the energy compensation program------it slows the speed down to 210 while keeping the MCP alt . After i was cleared to continue to descend, the FMC used VNAV SPD to speed up back to the ECON speed, then that explains why it was in SPD mode( i didn't turn on the Anti-ice this time, and the idle N1 level is 38.6% ) . but what puzzled me was why it didn't change itself back to PTH!So my question is If i am in the SPD mode, HOW CAN I CHANGE TO PTH?
  9. thanks i will take a try. but i still have a question: where is the PTH prompt in the DES page?
  10. i was in the speed descent. and i couldn't reach the next alt restriction in that mode! how can i change to path descent in the FMC? thanks!
  11. yes, i have been flying the bird since the birth of it. but i paused for nearly one week for that problem. i am to try the activation package PMDG sent me. Let's see if it works. for Christ's sake, i did
  12. i have the same problem? any one can fix that activation problem ! PMDG!!!!!
  13. thanks guys! i did submit! seems it is the activation problem. i just played NGX in the morning . and in the afternoon, i turned on the computer it was like that.
  14. ervey time i load it, it is frozon like that. i reinstalled everyhing including the hotfix and fsx the problem remains
  15. sure thanks man! another question, sorrry for so many questions, is : how can we create a point which is 6 nm of station A and 060 of Station 2 (although there might be two intersections) i heard some pilots mentioning that.
  16. but what if i want to enter NSE020/9?
  17. i want to select one fix into a route but it doesn;t work . is that normal?
  18. i can't line select the fix into the scratch pad is that normal?
  19. yes sure that's why it's brilliant. i read boeing's FCOM before NGX release! i just knew it. i am trying to find what it can't do!
  20. sorry, my mistake. it sure is modeled! when flaps 10 at 3000 N1 is 30 %. if i extend to flaps 15, N1 will increase to 39%! whahoo!!! i thought we just needed to extend the flaps in order to make it in the approach mode. but actually we have to be in the landing config(boeing's manual) to make it active.
  21. i didn;t find that modeled!!
  22. is the approach minumum thrust modeled? i see no difference between approach and flight?
