  1. Problem solved. Restart of system twice and the problem is history. Strange....
  2. Problem solved, it was an automated update of an airport scenery that caused the CTD. When replacing the airport scenery to an older version and disabling auto update everything works normal again! Topic can be closed. Have a wonderful day!
  3. Hi Recently a computer update that everyone is forced to do (Win10) the sound of voxatc is very low. But as soon as I go into a menu in P3D the sound level goes up to normal again, but when closing the menu in P3D the sound falls down again. Why is this happening?
  4. Thank you for the information. It talks alot about old simulators but okay will take a look in it if I can find anything that can be helpful if I find the guide....
  5. Hello forum! Recently I had a large Windows 10 update and when I started my full size flight simulator everything works fine until I load my default scenario or go to default airport with whatever aircraft, it crashes to desktop without saying anything. This has not happened before. Have P3d v4.5 with the hotfix installed as well. Some of you say I should watch the event viewer, but I cannot find any useful information about P3D crash it that place. Recently there was an update in the Active Sky as well, but it doesn't matter if I run AS or not, it crashes to desktop anyway. Read about a few users having the CTD caused by AS but if I do not start AS my P3D still CTD as soon as I load my default scenario or go to any airport. I have been flying severeal hundred of hours with my simulator before this happened and I have not changed or added any scenery or similar. The only thing that has been done is the Win10 upgrade (that everyone is forced to do) and the AS update. Anyone having any suggestion where to look for a log or similar? Anyone having the same problem? The computer has not been turned on for a while so my Win10 upgrade was a bit late I guess since I fly with my simulator mostly during winter. Looking forward to any suggestions that will make me fly again.
  6. :) true. Since I like computer programming I would like to know what caused the problem, but so far I have not found it, maybe some update or something like that. It just happened from one flight to another, strange, very strange. But now I know, thanks to you, what I need to look for if it happpens again. Once again, thank you!
  7. Will take a look into that file and see. When I began using VOXATC I have a memory that you could set this in one of the files that comes with VOXATC, but it is not there anymore. Maybe my very good memory has wrong but I am almost sure there is a part somewhere, very well hidden where this could be set. It should be a part of the stanard VOXATC setup software but that only contains minimum amount of variables to set. Thank you in advance for your suggestion, will head down to my simulator and dig into this problem 🙂 UPDATE: This correction worked fine. Thank you very much! Checked the file and mbars was set to false in two places in the file, when changing to true everything works fine again.
  8. Hi. Recently when I am flying in Asia the VOXATC only gives me mmhg instead of hpa and transition level/height is not corrct even if the simulator, P3Dv4 is correct setup. As I recall there is a setting somewhere in VOAXATC but I have not found it agian. Why is this happening? Am using PMDG 738 as Aircraft and it is correct setup.
  9. Hi. I am looking for a visual solution for my flight simulator. Half of the 180 degree screen is completed and currently I have a projector for right out view only and it is placed inside the flight deck next to the pedestal just to give me a view to that side. Have tried three different projectors none of them are good. Take a look at my site where I have my project boeingflightsim.wordpress.com. Anyone have any idea that does not cost too much? Led curtain maybe?
  10. Hi, Found out what the problem was yesterday. In P3D on Options -> Graphics -> Traffic, I had to set AI traffic to about 45% and in VOXATC leave it on 75% as I had, then all airplanes showed up on the apron and in the air. But when I only had 75% traffic in VOXATC and 0% in P3D no traffic at all, only static on airports, were present. Very strange, But now it works! Also I have disabled the Enroute traffic instruction and no more re-routing by ATC. I also have the EditVoicePack XL present in my simulator to hear more real airlines and not only the default by P3D and VOXATC. Altogether this combination is great! My project has a small blog where I talk about my home flight simulator if you would like to take a look, https://boeingflightsim.wordpress.com/ Reason I think why I got it wrong was that I have been working real hard to get some other things solved and I wanted to have the airport to myself without AI traffic, so I disabled it myself and just forgot about it after a day or so intense work with another panel :) Then I just got hooked up on the problem with the deviation from the ATC...well when you work intense enough on some projects you tend to forget some minor things. Thank you for the Enroute traffic instructions tip. Maybe should talke more to you guys here to not get too blind sometimes.
  11. Well I disabled the Enroute traffic instruction and all of a sudden there was no communication from ATC to other aircrafts, just my aircraft. There were no aircraft in air so that was a bit strange. So far I have just had the time to fly one route that lasted 1,5 hour, and simply no other traffic was around at all. What traffic density do you use? I am using about 70% in VOXATC setting. And that together with Global Traffic.
  12. Thank you for your replies. Tried it and it worked but oh lord how sad that AI traffic was gone. Will try to disable and enable the VOXATC if it happens again to see if that helps. There must be an update for this problem soon I hope. AI traffic should always be in the simulator.
  13. Hi I have been using Voxatc for a while now with P3D v4.3 and my PMDG 737-800, no problems at all. But all of a sudden, without any aircrafts around me I get a call from the ATC to change my heading, usually to 180° opposite heading that my route is due to traffic alert on the same flight level. But still, there is no traffic there and it keeps telling me to turn to a new heading. A few times I follow the instruction and that gives me about 40 minut delay and nothing realistic with this task. It hapens in every single flight now!! If I do ignore the instructions it keeps telling me to change my heading but after a while it says "clear of conflict continue direct ...". But why does this come up in every single flight all of a sudden, and without any aircraft in the way of my flight route? Anyone having a solution for this problem? /Seb
  14. What is the reason for presenting full name in front of everyone here? If you should have a more serious customer support, you will reply to each and everyone alone by e-mail or similar, not publish everything here. Why don´t you have a real customer support instead of this forum? So the problem remains only with B747 ver 3. That gives me OUT OF MEMORY on approaches all the time. That never happened in Windows 7 Ultimate or does never happen with Boeing 737-800. The graphics settings are at the LOWEST possible and it still happens. Everything is set to the lowest possible and still ONLY PMDG Boeing 747 ver3 crashes every single time. I don´t know what you suggest next, but I will not spend more money to upgrade my computer a tiny bit more since it has NO PROBLEMS with anything else. Is the B747 ver 3 really made for FSX? I doubt it since this keeps happening. I still get the EXACT same problem as from first time. Beskrivning Felaktig programsökväg: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe Problemsignatur Händelsenamn: BEX Programnamn: fsx.exe Programversion: 10.0.61472.0 Programtidsstämpel: 475e17d3 Namn på felmodul: StackHash_3e9b Modulens version: 0.0.0.0 Tidsstämpel för felmodul: 00000000 Undantagsförskjutning: PCH_03_FROM_KERNELBASE+0x00179F7D Undantagskod: c0000005 Undantagsdata: 00000008 OS-version: 10.0.15063.2.0.0.256.48 Språkvariant-ID: 1053 Ytterligare information 1: 3e9b Ytterligare information 2: 3e9b7846e3f8a4b53b4c50c361d8800c Ytterligare information 3: 62a3 Ytterligare information 4: 62a347caf62480433d89cc45656f7434 So this cannot depend on the computer anymore. There must be some kind of software malfunction here. Either Windows 10 that is word not allowed from the start or PMDG B747 ver 3 software that is not configured to be used with Windows 10 and FSX. Do you have an answer why the PMDG ver3 worked GREAT in Windows 7 Ultimate, with the exact same computer BUT with a 2 GB video card. And now with a 6x better video card it just keeps crashing. This must mean PMDG B 747 ver 3 is NOT made for Windows 10, right?
  15. Hej.
  16. How about you Olympic260, you do not have a real name here, so why are you asking me for it???
  17. Well I am comparing the B747 v3 with PMDG 738. The 737-800 works great no errors at all, no crash to desktop nothing. It only happens with the 747. Well another problem. In the FSX.CFG file I still can find this line [DISPLAY.Device.AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series.1] Mode=1920x1080x32 That was my old graphics card. I have tried to remove it but still its shows up. Can that mean that the FSX does noy use the correct drivers for my ASUS graphics card? How do I correct that? Please consider me as a normal person that has never used a computer before. I think all people should show respect and not writing short names for things. Make it clear and no need of google every single word. Everyone should understand it even if you are used with it since you live in front of the computer. I am a pilot in real life and we have a lot of short names, if I should use that in here noone should understand me either. So do not blame me. Just speak CLEARLY. Thank you
  18. So now I do have that software as well. Guess that also takes power from a computer. But okay. there is NO information about any VAS in that. What do YOU mean with VAS? NO computer short names please, speak up and clear.
  19. Also, it seems this problem ONLY happens when using the new B747 ver 3 from PMDG, it does not happen to any other aircraft.
  20. And where is process explorer to be found for those who do not want to look the entire life for that? Thank you in advance
  21. When I take a look at the FSX.cfg file I can still find this information; [DISPLAY.Device.AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series.1] Mode=1920x1080x32 AntiAlias=1 That was my old device AMD. Is it possible to just remove this part of the config file? I will NOT remove the FSX.cfg, it took me several days to get the simulator working again after I once did that before. There must be a way to modify display device without removing the entire file. Right?
  22. Well, all old drivers are gone, that was an AMD Radeon card. No changes in video settings, they are still middle set for everything and even lowest possible. Have tried the simulator tonight several times, with different settings, same route, trying to depart from ENGM with destination ESGG. Perfect short trip to test things, if the FSX would like to cooperate some day. My lord, thank god its easier to fly the real B748 than in any flight simulator. Any other suggestions? Still my thought is that PMDG has put a lot of things not compatible with Windows 10 in their software but noone will admit that. The exact same configuration in Windows 7 Ultimate, which I had before I was forced in to Win10, everything worked GREAT with the old video card. But as soon as Win10 came, all problems came. There must be more than me having this problem, right?
  23. Good day all! So now I have upgraded my graphics card to a ASUS 1060 Dual, 6 GB, OC. Seconds after take off I get the annoying message from Windows "Your system has run out of memory" and FSX crashes to desktop. So guys, it had nothing to do with the graphics card, that was a very expensive try. Do you have any new suggestions? The problem report I get now is this; eskrivning Felaktig programsökväg: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe Problemsignatur Händelsenamn: BEX Programnamn: fsx.exe Programversion: 10.0.61472.0 Programtidsstämpel: 475e17d3 Namn på felmodul: StackHash_3e9b Modulens version: 0.0.0.0 Tidsstämpel för felmodul: 00000000 Undantagsförskjutning: PCH_03_FROM_KERNELBASE+0x00179F7D Undantagskod: c0000005 Undantagsdata: 00000008 OS-version: 10.0.15063.2.0.0.256.48 Språkvariant-ID: 1053 Ytterligare information 1: 3e9b Ytterligare information 2: 3e9b7846e3f8a4b53b4c50c361d8800c Ytterligare information 3: 62a3 Ytterligare information 4: 62a347caf62480433d89cc45656f7434 Extra information om problemet Bucket-ID: e2a9097e0d9ef0fa9ffd44970f7f0d23 (2305073999874297123) While staying on the ground everything worked smooth and nice. But how the h..l can I run out of memory with this configuration now? What memory can it be? Windows 10 is a stupid version so far and does not tell much. The problem report is the exact same as last time with my 2GB video card. So it cannot be the graphics card anymore. Solutions anyone?
  24. Hi Thank you for responses. It is strange that I get OOM even when video is set to FSX minimum in Windows 10, but it never tells me OOM in Windows 7 with exact same configuration. That is why I wonder and keep investigating what is wrong with Win 10. VR, well what I have read VR doesn't matter since FSX only uses the RAM.Right? Well the hunt keeps on going. Sorry for late replies sometimes but usually I am up in the air :)
  25. Good day all. I want to present a problem I only have when flying the latest version of your great simulator. My operating system: Intel i7, 2.9 GHz Windows 10, 64 bit 16 GB RAM 2 GB VRAM, 2 monitors Active Sky 2016 FDC Live cockpit 2011 Scenery: ORBX and some airports like ENGM, EKCH, ESGG, EDDF, KMIA, KLAX, KSFO. No other software used and same configuration has been present now when I have perfomed test flights below. Route I have been flying many times now is the same, only one way to make sure where and why it crashes. ENGM - ESGG, very short flight but perfect for test flight. Have tried many, many flights now with the QOTS v3. On approach or right after landing on the roll out the FSX crashes to desktop. After a number of the exact same problems I reduced the graphic settings to absolute minimum with no effect. Same thing happens. Then I change aircraft to your version of B738 NGX. No problems on the exact same route with maximum graphic settings. If works very well. Just to be sure I have reduced the graphic settings so that also is the exact same in both aircraft models, no problem whatsoever in the B738 NGX. This must mean that something very heavy for the system is going on in the 747, which I can understand, it is a lot of calculation and functions in this version, and I love it until it crashes. But when I take a look at the specifications you should be able to fly it and I fullfill the requirements with my computer setting. Next step is to test the QOTS v3 in Windows 7 Ultimate, which I had before I updated to Windows 10. No problems at all, if flies very well and no crashes. This must mean there is something in Windows that prevents QOTS to fly well in Windows 10, right? Do you know what the causes can be? When I look at the crsh reports I get some different from time to time, among these; - StackHash_3e9b (PCH_03_FROM_KERNELBASE+0x0017A34D) - Out of memory (also with minimum graphic settings) I am not fond of disabling KB updates since they are for security reason. Some have found it a way to get around crashes but I have not tried that since many of the KB's are not present. My update to Windows 10 was made in September this year. Would really like to investigate and follow what is causing this problem. Since I am a pilot in real life with experience of both aircraft models (B738 and B748) I must say, it is much easier to fly in real life than trying to get my computer to understand FSX :) However I would like to follow up this problem and see if there will be an update for Windows 10 that solves this problem. Do you have an idea why this happens and what the cause might be? Thank you.
