  1. Hi DavideLeeSim You shouldn't play with the falps at that speed so why force it to brake down? They are very expensive to exchange and there is a natural lock mode so it is impossible to set flap 25 at speeds above 250 knots, use the speedbrake to bring the speed down, then everything works fine, just as in real life. Sure you can set the handle to 25 degree flap, but it will not extend to that position in real life if you have too high speed. In case the flaps are set correctly in lower speeds the flaps retracts automatically to maximum setting, but the handle will not move, you will just see it on the flap position indicator.
  2. Just want to tell PMDG, they have done a great job with this flight simulator for FSX, thank you for the effort of putting this together!!I am a B738 pilot in real life and tonight I tried out this simulation on a medium distance flight between ESSA and LEPA (Stockholm/Arlanda and Palma) using the Norwegian livery.Used the Virtual Cockpit view all the time and almost everything is there to find as in real flightdeck. You that have built this simulator and that are flying the aircraft know whats missing. But that is small details and no big deals.Simulated an engine flameout, everything responded as expected, as well as electrical malfunction and resetting while in flight. You have done a real good job programming this one!!Keep up the good work PMDG!!
  3. Well if you can, try multimonitor, it is perfect to have the overhead panel, FMC and center stack there including the communication box if you use ATC. Then it gets as real as is possible. Thank you very much for your replies!
  4. Thank you, will try that later and let you know. But when I use that eyepoint change it is impossible to look through any other window....hmmm, thank God for real aircrafts :)No throttle panel, is there any way to shut down the engines after landing and how to ARM spoilers?? BTW I use this 738NGX simulator together with Live cockpit so Ctrl+SPACE means stepping through the checklist, changed some keyboard assignments due to that.
  5. Forgot to let you know I ment the 2D view.
  6. Hi everyone.Well I have a probably small problem but need assistance with it.Am a real commercial B738 captain and the new version of the NGX simulator is very good work. But my probably basic problem.... When I sit in the cockpit using multi-screens the main screen is only showing the cockpit cpatain seat view and on the ground everything is fine. But as soon as I rotate and especially in level flight and approaches it is impossible to see the terrain in front of me.This was possible and very good in FS2009 but in FSX I have the same problem no matter what aircraft I fly. Why is this, and how to solve it? I want to be able to see my approaches as well looking forward while in flight. As it is today it is almost impossible to land without seeing the ground. So how do I get the same viewing mode as there was in FS2009 when looking forward? Also I want to be able to see the flightdeck instruments the same time. One issue though regarding the NGX...where the h..l has the engine/throttle/spoiler/flap module hidden itself?Mayday on this issue! Can't find it anywhere. Hope to get some good ideas of solving my problems in the simulation world so it gets as real as is possible.Thank you in advance!
  7. Hi everyoneNeed some help with a probably easy solved issue. Am an airline captain myself so in real life I just turn my head to view in diffrent directions :) But in FSX compared to FS2009 there is a problem I have not been able to solve so far. I use the new PMDG B737NGX aircrafts, it works fine while on the ground. But no matter what aircraft I use as soon as rotation and especially in level flight and approaches it is impossible to see forward.During the approach I have to use the autopilot to align me properly but I only see the sky. Is there any way to have the same viewing mode as in FS2009 where I do not have to change the view position for the entire flight but I still see forward during level flight and not only way too high up as well as being able to perfom visual approaches actually seeing the terrain in front of me? Good lord this issue has almost killed me. The FS2009 was perfectly for years and I refused very long to use FSX and I understand why.......Anyone with a good solution to this viewing problem? Also, where the h..l is the throttle/spoiler/flap/engine control panel view in B737NGX??Take care guys and thank you in advance for any possible solution suggestions.
