TRy to download and install from the Microsoft site the following file : dxwebsetup I have Windows 7 installed and this file updated the directX drivers.The freezing problem is now resolved. Good Luck and good flight CLaude MoffetQuebec

If you have Window 7 64 bits, try to install "dxwebsetup" downloed from their site. Also turn your antivurs off when installing. If you not have alredy set, also exclude Fsx in your antivurus setup menu. Hope these suggestions will be of some help for you, these fix the problem for me. good luck ClaudeQuebec

I had also the same problem as batera86 and after try a lot of things, I finaly fix the problem. I have installed "dxwebsetup" for Windows7 from the Microsoft site and also stopped my antivirus during installation. Now no more freezing of the sim. I may now appreciate the 737NGX, a wonderful aircraft. Hope my suggestion will help you Good luck ClaudeQuebec

Need help from someone I installed the 737NGX basic pack as recommanded and also have modified the fsx.CFG as suggested. The 4 variants of the plane appears well in the airplanes menu. After my choice have loaded, FSX crashes immediately as the flight deck appears on the screen. I tried to reinstall whitout success. During the installation, at the end of the process, I had this message: " DirectX 9.0 Web Set up, Command line option syntax error, Type Command / ? for help" Can you help me with that, may be there is a relation with the crashing problem mentionned. ? I don't know what to do and want not take the risk to create more troubles in my system.
