Trouble mapping middle mouse button
Hey guys.I'm trying to map the middle mouse button to Mouse - View Direction (on) [defaut Space]. In the control setup screen, If I select Mouse Look as the control type, it won't recognize button 3 (middle mouse button). If I select Mouse Yoke as the control type, it does recognize the middle button and I save it. But it does not work in sim. I've checked to make sure this button is not mapped to anything else at the moment. Anybody have any ideas what's going on here and/or what I need to do to get this to work? Thanks.

Do you follow EP's ?
I agree with everything you said. Just to be clear, I would never discourage anyone from using failures to help hone their skills just because I don't chose to use them. In fact I'm thrilled that their part of the simulation. It's all a matter of personal preference and I'm thankful that we have these options to chose from.

While my desire and appreciation for realism in fsx is very high, and the more realistic an aircraft model behaves, the more enjoyment I get from fsx, there is another aspect of fsx which is paramount for me. It is spiritual uplift I get from the sheer grace and beauty inherent in the art of flying, so wonderfully depicted, at times, as it is in fsx. The exhilarating feeling of lift under my wings; the catapulting off the runway up into the heavens; the stunning visuals of plush landscapes floating along beneath me, especially when shadows dance in the deep recesses of mountain ravines on cool misty mornings. It leaves me delighted and spellbound... all while sitting in the rather mundane settings of my apartment.I know where my enjoyment of fsx lies, which I just described above, and for that reason, I just can't be bothered with failures. I don't fly in fsx for practice or to keep current or to test my metal in emergency situations, I fly simply for the exhilaration of flight itself. That's probably why I enjoy the highly realistic, but rather uncomplicated general aviation plane models over the over-complicated ones like PMDG's new 737. They tend to put the beauty aspect of flight in the back seat.... for me, at least.

C185 skywagon ground track on takeoff
Hey guys. I've got an issue where during takeoff roll in the skywagon, before I rotate, my plane seems to forward slip while still on the ground. It happens every time, even without wind. Now, I understand p-factor torque, but as you apply right rudder to counter act it, shouldn't the plane face the direction it is rolling? What happens is that, after applying right rudder and compensating for the leftward drift, and finally tracking straight down the runway, my nose is pointing decidedly to the right. Another words, I'm tracking 12 o'clock but my nose is pointing to 2 o'clock. Seems to me I'd shred my tires every other takeoff if this was RL. I've tried locked tailwheel and unlocked tailwheel, crosswind and no crosswind - regardless, it always happens. So, is this a natural atribute of this plane, or something strange? I only have RL experience in a tri-cycle landing gear plane... never a tail dragger. Anybody else have this happen? Is there a proceedure I'm missing? Is there a fix if it's a bug? Thanks...
