G'day guys,

For some strange reason, my FSX is stuck loading at 0%. This only started happening yesterday. My PC specs should be on the side there.

Do you guys have any ideas. Eventually it will continue loading, but it takes a while. Never seen this happen before.

Yesterday evening I was on my laptop, watching youtube, surfing the web as they say. My laptop's battery was already pretty much dead, as in if I wasn't connected to the power cord after a few minutes the machine would turn off. It ran fine off the power supply. But Yesterday evening the power cord fell out, subsequently the laptop shut down after a few seconds. I put the power cord back in, and tried to turn it back on. Normally it would, but this time it failed to start. There were no signs of life what so ever.

I have tried leaving it a while, hoping that it would charge a bit and let me turn it on. I have also tried taking out the battery, and turning it on just with power cord. I have also tried taking out the battery and power cord, holding down the power button for 15 seconds ( even tried longer) then reconnecting the battery and power supply (this is what dell suggested). Yet again, no luck.

Today I called dell, the suggested I do the method above, and if that didn't work, bring it in to the service centre somewhere near the sydney olympic park.

Would any of you have any ideas what could be causing this, and also how I could fix it? I have had problems with it before regarding the hinges (which had to be replaced) but never seen this issue before.

By the way it is an Alienware M11xR1.

Hope you guys can help me, because I would really like not to have to spend money (it is out of warranty, by like 2 years). Also, since they no longer make the M11x, let alone the R1 version, parts are very likely to be expensive or non existant.

Ok I deactivated the OZx scenery, and I did a flight today with no problems :) So it seems like it has worked. The only problem that I have now is that because I have deactivated OZx, I no longer get scenery for YSCN (Camden). I do my real world flight training there and use it on FSX quite a bit. Could having OZx activated but lower on the priority list maybe fix the issue but still allow me to have all of the added sceneries?

I can't exactly remember what error it was. All I remember is that FSX freezes, eventually screen goes whitewashed and then comes up with the "Microsoft Flight Simulator X has encountered an error"

I can't exactly remember what error it was, I am just trying to go off memory.

Next time it happens I will take down what it says.

My ram is 2x 4gb sticks. I do believe that my autogen setting is at dense. I also use the ******* tweaks for my CFG. And I also do have OZX installed aswell.

And Randy I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

It does it normally in the PMDG 737, 747 and also wilco A320.

Hey guys,

It seems like when ever I am on approach at around 4000 feet FSX just freezes, then will crash. It doesn't happen 100% of the time, but it is beginning to become more and more regular. It is quite disheartening to do a 3 hour flight on FSX then to crash as you turn on final. Any ideas guys, as it is really starting to annoy me and haven't completed a full flight in weeks :(

Hey guys,

Whenever I run FSX I get a constant loading cursor (the one with the arrow and little blue turning thing). It started a few weeks ago and it is really starting to annoy me, and it could be the reason for fsx crashing every so often. I really don't know what is causing it, it only starts when I run fsx, and even when FSX is closed it stays. It can't be a performance issue or something because I get solid 28 FPS (locked) at ORBX YBBN in the PMDG 737.

Hey guys,For the last 3 flights I have made in the 737, I keep on getting a warning message on the FMC saying Unable Crz Alt. This happened when I had VNAV on, and what it did is it just climbed very slowly, at around 500 fpm, and also it wasn't accelerating. So I then had to turn off VNAV, and climb using the vertical speed function. After a few minutes it turned off the vertical speed, and autothrottle, and automatically put on level change and N1 for speed. So it was back to 200 fpm climb, and slow speed. Descending with VNAV is fine, it is just ascending. Just to let you know I have been flying from YSSY- YBBN, with a cruise alt of FL390, which is fine for this flight, as it is used in real life. I just recently started using FSinn instead of SquawkBox, could that have something to do with it?Cheers,Ollie

Hey guys,Next week I plan on ordering parts for my new PC build, which will be using the i5-2500K and MSI GTX-560ti Twin Frozer II with 8gb of DDR3 RAM. But one thing I am having trouble with is deciding on a motherboard for the build. There are so many to choose from. I am looking for a Z68 in the $150- $200 price point which will allow me to overclock to around 4.5GHZ and one with a great BIOS. Virgin Blue have a Knob on top of some of their 737s, but it isn't satcom, i think it is for a aussie paytv Austar satelite for their onboard entertainment. Could be wrong :(

APU bleed might fix it???

Ok the problem only exists when I open it up in VC mode(s). When in cockit mode where it is like you looking out the window, it works like a charm.

You have to pay for the add-ons, so why turn people away by making them pay to access a store? That would just be a bad idea.

I have this exact problem, and an open support ticket - it's suggested by PMDG that it is part of the activation problem (a failure to initialise the panel, if memory serves). I'm hoping it should be fixed when the activation issue is.

This issue appears because you're trying to bring up the panel by pressing Shift+1. You should switch to this panel by pressing "A" several times (inside VC). This will allow the panel to init correctly and after that you could use Shift+1 too.

Just to get something clear my friend, the actual 2D panel does it look like that all the time or just when you first load the aircraft..??

I dont have a full version of FSUIPC so I dont think I can save with it, besides I don't use it. It happens when I start up the flight, every flight. I will download the hotfix to see if it helps Oliver Benton
