  1. My thoughts exactly, I can see Toronto from the other side of Lake Ontario some 55km on a clear day.....there is such a thing as "unlimited visibility "....Frank
  2. Thanks for your curiosity Jan, having flown quite a few aircraft myself I know and have in fact also had a few "discontinue an approach and go-arounds"...My point is that, regardless of whether or not someone knows what a missed approach is, my observation had to do with an aircraft that has no pilot, where none of the scenarios you described above relate to! From the video posted I was suggesting that there probably is insufficient ATC separation for the AI aircraft or that there isn't airspace control effective enough to slow down approaches so that go-arounds "on approach corridor and on arrival at the runway" can be avoided...This wasn't meant to bash the video or it's creator but only meant to be some feedback. Since this is one of the main points of interest in a Sim for me I only wished to address it and perhaps have it improved for the release...Why is it that whenever someone points out something that should be improved there are so many of you hardly associated with the development that feel compelled to put down the user and his/hers suggestion? I would rather hear from those that are doing the hard work trying to make this Sim what it can potentially be...fantastic!Cheers,Frank Severino
  3. Any good Freeware AI aircraft already does this with proper FDE's....I have DC-8's, 707's and others that do the same.... I also noticed a 747 on missed approach at 1:07 with that amount of traffic (very little) that should not happen! Why would X-Plane go the same route as MSFS and use UI aircraft as AI?Frank
  4. I just read this announcement and only 20 AI aircraft at a time? That's very disappointing! I don't want to throw any more fuel to the fire but FS2004 already had better than that. I won't speculate as to what shots are better than others, whether it's XP9 or XP10 or which Sim is better FSX, Flight or XP10. I have been very happy with what I have seen so far and applaud you at X-Plane for showing your product and having a forum where input from potential customers can be heard and addressed...I would ask though, that you rethink the AI engine and what it can handle in the Sim. I never moved to FSX because I saw that the added goodies included didn't give me that much more than what I have in FS9. And of course, regardless of what any other users say I couldn't get the performance I get with FS9. I can land in Boston (KBOS - Fly-Tampa scenery) with hundreds of AI aircraft with the top payware aircraft like PMDG, IFly, CS, etc and still have 35-45 frames....If X-Plane could have a re-think of it's AI engine so as to allow for Ultimate Traffic and other AI based aircraft instead of using the UI aircraft included in the Sim. Doing this in my opinion, would increase it's popularity, especially among the AI crowd out there which is a fairly substantial chunk of the FS community! Many of these aircraft are wonderful looking and with that option X-Plane wouldn't have to spent hundreds or thousands of hours creating all the models necessary for a realistic Sim. After all, no one wants to land at an airport like Laguardia and have an empty airport....especially in a Sim made for 2012! I really hope that this will not be the case, and that something can be worked out for that to change. I really don't care if the release is delayed (I've been waiting for a new Sim since FS2004!) as long as that means that I will have a complete product that looks, fly's, and is as immerse as it can potentially be.Keep up the good work!Frank Severino
  5. Great news Goran, I was unaware of that! But I'm talking about 3rd party AI models like those from Alpha India Group, Ai Malcontent, AiAardvark, etc, etc....Frank
  6. Great work X-Plane it's looking fantastic!! My brother has been an avid X-Plane supporter ever since FSX was released and I've been watching the progress with anticipation, but I wish you would also include....1) Realistic ATC2) Realistic AI traffic control3) Be able to use current FS9/FSX developed AI models and flightplans4) Being able to use current FS9/FSX airport sceneriesI'm not sure if this is at all possible but if it were, I'd switch over as soon as X-Plane 10 is released!Frank
Obrigado, Frank Severino
