I have experienced exactly this too.

Running 4.1, update came through last night. I rebooted, loaded P3D and now CTD... Fudge sake! I'm running W10, A, Can I uninstall this major release? B, Should this fix the issue? Thanks

Anyone else still having a notification to say new version even though they'd updated? Still showing version 6491 and not 6497. Thanks

I have a i5 3750k. Recently upgraded from at GTX 570 to a 1060 6GB.. the difference for me is night and day. I would definitely go for gpu if you cant upgrade all! Don't forget to let us know what you do an how you get on.
