  1. Hi, i also want to buy a new monitor for FSX. I am thinking about the Dell ultrasharp U2412M but the question is this. The aspect ratio of this monitor is 16:10 instead of the 16:9 i am using now. Is that a problem for FSX, i fly the Pmdg MD 11 in 2D panel ? My Gpu is Nvidia Gtx 285, will this card support this monitor? Thanx for any advice. Ed
  2. Problem with the fire warning solved thanx to Kyle. When i set failures in pmdg menu the warnings are working. Thanx.
  3. I have two strange problems. The first one is that In case of an engine fire i get no warning what so ever on the flightdeck. When i look outside i see fire and smoke coming out of the engine. Also i can't use the fire distinguisher as nothing pups up. I can only use fuel cutoff to stop the engine but the fire remains. Then the second problem and that is the RTO. Although the auto brakes are set on RTO and the spoilers are armed, when i want to abort the take off and pull back the throttles to idle the autobrakes do nothing and also the spoilers are not deployed. The autobrakes do work after a normal landing. Any one else with this problem and purhaps a solution? Thanx Ed

  5. Yes its in white but the plane doenst follow the heading i selected and when i go back to nav 1 it's NOT following the fmc. Today on my flight the problem did not occured but its on and off.Like i said, time for the 737.
  6. I have made the changes in the fsx wheather, checkt the boxes but still having problems with autoflight. i am flying on ivao by the way. The flight from yesterday was a disaster, The autopilot not following the fmc, making right turns as where it supposed to go straigt, and when i tryed the heading select no respons what so ever, even though teh FMA says heading 250. Also a lot off problems with rapedly changing wind speeds with as result overspeed or low speed, sometimes 4 or 5 times in two minutes.Only when i totaly disconect the autopilot i can fly manualy. It's not on every flight but it hapens to often.Time for me to delete the md 11 and buy the 737.
  7. Well i dont now if the wheather options are normal. The s turns i also have that sometimes and aspecially with strong winds but why the plane doesnt respond to heading select i dont now.

When i switch to hdg select to correct it the plane doenst respond to the commands. Only after disconnect auto pilot en manualy stering the plane responds. When i am back on course i activate autoflght and then it's ok.Any ideas of what is going on ?ThanksPeter
