I have two strange problems. The first one is that In case of an engine fire i get no warning what so ever on the flightdeck. When i look outside i see fire and smoke coming out of the engine. Also i can't use the fire distinguisher as nothing pups up. I can only use fuel cutoff to stop the engine but the fire remains.

 

Then the second problem and that is the RTO. Although the auto brakes are set on RTO and the spoilers are armed, when i want to abort the take off and pull back the throttles to idle the autobrakes do nothing and also the spoilers are not deployed.

The autobrakes do work after a normal landing.

 

Any one else with this problem and purhaps a solution?

What speed are you when you reject?

Above 80 knots and before V1

Did you arm autoflight before starting your roll? Also check that autobrakes has stayed in rto as you start the takeoff roll.

 

When you go back to idle above 80knots, the spoilers should deploy and autobrake should engage provided you do NOT touch the brakes at any stage. All you need to do is keep in on centerline.
