Some thoughts on Flight...
I salute randazzo for his decision. I personally am a beta tester for Flight and ever since I downloaded it two days ago and had a look at it, I've never double clicked the shortcut anymore. Like everyone concluded, it's an arcade game and will stay as an arcade game thanks to MS's development path to cater their almost non-existing 'target audience'. With all the time i've spent in FSX, this wish of an upgraded realistic simulation for aviation enthusiasts like me or even licensed aviators from Flight going down the drain is not a major problem but just a longer wait for a better sim. After all, we've been always waiting patiently for PMDG and it's highly realistic birds. Maybe MS will get to their senses that the FS society is not based on a mere game. The only doubts in my mind would be whether the upcoming Windows 8 will continue to be able to support FSX. After all, MS might make W8 totally incompatible with FSX.As a commercial member of the flight sim community and just a student myself, I would think going all in for P3D isnt an option. How many months would I have to pay $10 developer license? which btw isn't cheap for me on the other side of the world. And $500 for a full license is way out of discussion.I've gotten XPX just a few weeks ago as a gamble that sooner or later the FS community will slowly transition to the IMHO similar or better version of FSX. There are still flaws and bugs in the game which I hope Laminar will soon patch off and give us a better sim. All in all, I'm already spending some time with this sim and I was relieved that randazzo announced that he will bring in another member to the team to facilitate in porting some PMDG products over to XPX. I hope this will sooner or later be the mainstream sim for all of us. After all, it's 5 years before people start dropping FS9 and turning to FSX. And as far to the horizon as I can see, I'll still be flying FSX with PMDG's NGX and soon the 777 plus the FSLabs A3xx (hopefully) for the following years to come. Until then, I'm sure someone somewhere would have developed a sim to cater us simmers. But for now, I'm a proud supporter and follower of PMDG's products and it's decisions. Thanks, Brandon.

RC not starting
Bumped into another problem. When loading FSX flight plan into RC, I got run-time error 5 - Invalid procedure call or argument. Anyone know a solution to this??

RC not starting
OK found the solution. It appears that I have system locale set to Chinese PRC so it might have gotten mixed up trying to read using the wrong encoding. Changed it back to English (United States) and everything is working fine now. Thanks to all who've helped.

no hidden messages. it's just the cursor changing to one with a small loading sign then it's back to the normal cursor.will try checking event logs and get back to you.nope... nothing happens loading from root file or from shortcut. I'll try bypassing security from my kaspersky and windows firewall. Anybody ever have problems with these 2 security apps??

RC not starting
Hi, I just bought RC 4.3 a few days back and downloaded and installed it successfully. However when I tried to open up RC, nothing happens. No registration screen pops up. Not sure whether I did anything wrong or not but I do have latest version of FSUIPC and makerwys downloaded and installed as per the links pinned. I'm running win 7 x64 with RC installed in the default C:\Program Files (x86)\rcv4x. I ran installation as admin and made sure RC runs as admin too. Any suggestions??
