How is XP 10 ?
Ironmaiden....I am in no way telling you to upgrade your system, simply making a suggestion.... I haave gone through what you are experiencing and the above remarks that I have made reflect what I have done and fortunately has worked for me.... when I was going through the headaches and heartaches of getting X-Plane to work as it is supposed to, I had coleagues in the sim world that made all kinds of helpful suggestions and I am very thankful that they came through.... it made my final selections much easier to make.... and it was easier in the financial dpartment as well.... good luck in your selections and do hope that you will keep in touch as you go along.RegardsWolf624

How is XP 10 ?
Ironmaiden.....In response to your reply, my system is as follows: Mac 27IN.. processor3.1GHz Intel Core 5.. Memory 8 GB 1333MHz DDR3.. Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1024 MB.. Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 (11D50b)..... I should have mentioned this before....now my questions to you are, "are you using a Mac or PC system"?.... are you associated with any virtual airline that uses X-Plane only?... the reason for my asking is if you are not associated with an X-Plane only VA it would be wise to get together with one and that way most of your needs would be answered in a heartbeat and you would get to meet a lot of knowledgeable VA Pilots more than willing to help.... I found that not sacrificing on the quality of the graphics card is very important and the overall RAM in your system ae well.... hope that this helps you, and finally, is your system capable of handling X-Plane.... have a great day Ironmaiden.Wolf624Ironmaiden.... just read your system specs at the bottom of your reply and youappear to have a sound system.... I would think that as you are doing in concentrating on the graphics capability and overall RAM would be enough for your system upgrade.Wolf624

How is XP 10 ?
Before you go out and buy new cards etc.., get all the required info for running XPX and then make sure that your system is compatible to running XPX properly..... in addition to a good graphics card you might consider adding [increasing ) your memory to the 8GB area..... it costs a bit more but the results are incredible..... also for those of you who are questioning the XPX demo, the demo gives a lot of feeling of what is new with XPX, but once you purchase the real package then you really see what XPX is about and it is quite a bit more than you saw in the demo...... as for the scenery aspect for XPX or any other version, you might consider joining a virtual flight sim airline that has for its qualified pilots more scenery than you can handle as well as add-on aircraft certified by its tech group.... as well being a member of a virtual airline allows you to mingle online with its members and this is another way of resolving a lot of your problems/questions..... one such virtual airline is California Air and it is X-Plane oriented.... well worth the try as they are the best and they work at keeping it the best.Wolf624
