  1. Hi guysThank you for your kind words. It feels a bit like I have been involved in a beta test without being told about it :Hypnotized:But that's OK, now I will start using more time in flying mode instead of installing mode!RegardsKim
  2. Finally: SUCCESS :biggrin:I am almost embarrassed to say that it was all a question of folder structure... When I finally got Flight itself installed at S:GFWMicrosoft Flight and the DLC folder located at S:GFWDLC, it all worked, no more "corrupted" messages! So that little advice about NOT installing Flight or the DLC in the root of the drive was the key to the solution. I am very grateful to Don and Ramon! (And I was getting a bit bored with the damned balloon + ukulele flights I had to do after each reinstall. Only good thing about them: you get XP points each time you fly them...)RegardsKim
  3. Hi DonI have followed your instructions and used the GWFL to remove my DLC. Then I removed Flight itself from the add/remove programs menu in Windows. I cleaned up all Flight folders under my user account. Then I reinstalled Flight and the Maule preview via my GWFL, but when I started up Flight, I immediately got the famous "corrupted" message as soon as it had finished loading content. It just can't be true that it should be so difficult to make this thing work.../Kim
  4. Hi guysI have been waiting for a few days now, hoping that someone would come up with a solution to this problem. Well, nothing much has happened, so I decided to do a little experiment. I went into my GFWL Marketplace settings and changed the DLC folder position back to somewhere under my "user account" folder on my C drive, and guess what happened when I started up Flight and redownloaded the Mustang preview?IT WORKED!Then some of you might think "YES, problem solved", but I am not so happy about this finding. It actually means that you are not allowed to make modified installations of Flight at the moment. It is OK to have the "core sim" installed on your S drive (or what ever you call your dedicated simulation drive), but all DLC downloads/purchases are forced to be on yor C drive under your user account, or they simply wont work! This should be corrected as soon as possible. It makes no sense not to have the ability to keep your core sim software and your addons in the same place. Remember that a lot of serious simmers have spent lots of money on buying seperate large or fast hard drives to get the best performance from their simulation software, and now they can't use that for Flight...RegardsKim
  5. Do you want to hear something "funny"???Now I have installed Flight on my other computer, and I have been very careful about adjusting my GFWL Marketplace settings before attempting to download any DLC items. And guess what happened right after downloading the Mustang preview? Yep, the usual "corrupted" message! Now I've really had it with this fantastic piece of software...RegardsKim
  6. Hi Kabronicus I did the complete uninstall and deleted all folders related to Flight, GFWLive and XLive before reinstalling Flight. When I started up Flight for the first time after this new install, there was an update for Live that I hadn't seen before, so I became rather optimistic about the ability to go on with my DLC's.But the result was the same as before: As soon as I had redownloaded the Mustang preview and it apperared in front of the hangar, I saw the "corrupted" message. Now I really don't know where to go from here, except leaving Flight until it matures.../Kim
  7. Hi KabronicusThanks for your advice. I have just tried it, but unfortunately it didn't change the situation. As soon as I had redownloaded the Mustang preview and it apperared in front of the hangar, I saw the damned "corrupted" message again. And I know that it won't go away until I delete the S:Microsoft FlightDLC4d5308d2 folder containing the plane...So there must be something else that has to done regarding the original position of my DLC folder. My GFWL Marketplace setting are all correct now./Kim
  8. I have just noticed in another thread that a display bug which I would consider being quite a lot smaller than this one has been "bumped" to the Flight development team. I think this showstopping error deserves the same treatment...RegardsKim
  9. Hi guysI have the same problem with the "corrupted installation" message. It started after I made changes in the settings for my Games Add-on Directory/downloaded content (DLC) folder via my Live login. I have Flight installed on my S (Simulator) drive, and I suddenly discovered that all my addons for Flight would be installed on my C drive. When I changed the DLC folder to S:Microsoft FlightDLC, I got a warning that my existing downloads would be deleted, but I didn't see that as a problem at the moment. The next time I started up Flight, my Adventure Pack and the previews of the Maule and the Mustang were gone (as I had expected them to be), and now my troubles started. As soon as I have redownloaded one of the items and it appears as "new content available" on the screen, the "corrupted installation" also appears...I have lost count of the numbers of uninstalls and reinstalls I have made over the last few days, and now I have more or less given up on Flight. It is of no use to me if I can only use the program with the basic "out of the box" configuration, and I am not going to waste any more time on this problem.RegardsKim
