  5. We will be doing a multiplayer flight tonight in MSFS 2020, all are welcome to join. If you want to join our voice communications click here: https://discord.gg/fyWX3Ep If you have never used Discord before here are setup instructions: https://www.msflights.net/forum/forum/general-forums/general-discussion/5351-how-to-setup-discord-voice-communication-software

This flight is very casual, we will not be using ATC or real life flight rules. It will probably be 10-20 people flying from point A to B in close proximity. To see more information or other flights we will host please visit msFlights.net

    Time: Friday Aug 21 @ 9pm EDT.

We will be visiting the Appalachian mountains in Virginia to see how they look in the new simulator.

    Flight plan: KROA>KHSP>KROA

Aircraft: I will be flying the Cessna 152 or 172

Server Settings: Selects USA EAST, along with ALL Players in the flight conditions pages.

Depending what time it is when we are done, we may visit nearby West Virginia's Greenbrier Valley (KLWB) and explore if the Greenbrier resort is modeled nicely.

  7. Hello guys, Kalo here from msFlights.net. For a flight like this I would suggest a target cruise speed of around 160kts so people could fly general aviation or ww2 planes, alot of people seem more comfortable in general aviation aircraft. I threw together a sample route we could fly: KAVL>KTRI>KROA>KCHO to see it visually: https://skyvector.com/?ll=37.00650076239044,-80.38586425162273&chart=301&zoom=7&fpl=%20KAVL%20KAVL%20KTRI%20KROA%20KCHO%20KCHO

This would be a scenic flight over the Appalachian mountains ending at Toms's Charlottesville airport, with a large group of people this would probably take around 2-2.5hrs.

April 9th seems like it would be a good date as it's a Saturday, maybe around 3pm EST? That way it wouldn't be too early for west coast Americans, or too late for Europeans.

As soon as you guys decide on a flight plan and date/time we could post it on the msFlights.net homepage/calendar (sooner the better). Feel free to use our teamspeak.

Also would you want to fly this on a regular FSX classic server? Or would you want to fly this on a crossplatform server so that pilots using P3D, steam, and classic could all fly together? We dubbed the crossplatform software "SimLink", it uses vpilot, fsd, and some model matching files to work. If you would like to test SimLink out here is a post on how to set it up: http://msflights.net/forum/showthread.php?4832-SimLink-Quick-start

  8. Thanks for connecting everyone! It seems to be running just fine. We had taken the server down for about a week or so, but we have version 2.1 back online now!

P.S. I forgot to specify that voice comms have been turned off. Instead our server uses TeamSpeak3 for communications. We turn in game voice communication off to prevent people from abusing the channel.

Click here to download Teamspeak3 (you want to download either the Client 32bit or 64bit depending on if you have Windows 32bit or 64bit)

Our Server Address: msFlights.jmainguy.com (click Connections>Connect)

  9. Hey guys,

I just wanted to let any P3D owners out there know that we over at msFlights.net are running a 24/7 multiplayer server to test out connectivity. If you would like to come test out P3D multiplayer join IP: 71.231.12.143

    See ya in the skies!

    -Kalo-

  10. Greetings everyone! For anyone that is interested, come join us on our weekly Wednesday night airliner flight at 9pm ET! All are welcome to join, and log onto our voice server @ msflights.jmainguy.com (Teamspeak3).

Please read the following flight details: http://msflights.net/forum/showthread.php?1039-FSX-Airliner-Wednesday-%28Wednesday-October-2nd-9pm-ET%29&p=5493#post5493

    See you in the skies!

  11. It is unfortunate that RealAir might not get around to patching the Duke, but I can see why they would not want to invest a lot of time in something they will not get paid for (after all the plane was made a few years ago when they were not aware of packet flooding). Maybe we could start a fund from all the B60 owners to offer to RealAir to make a patch  (I wonder how much would make it worth their while? I know I would pay up to $10 for a patch)

thanks for the info though! FSMP, I will definitely schedule a time to meet with you on the server via pm. Thanks, this would be much appreciated!

  12. Hello everyone, as many of you may know, the beautiful RealAir Beechcraft Duke B60 is not very multiplayer friendly. Here's a link to some screenshots if you are not familiar with this plane: http://realairsimulations.com/duke09/screenshots08.php?page=duke09_screenshots

On our server over at msflights.net we run FsOpen to increase multiplayer stability, so it will kick planes like the RealAir Duke B60 for putting a strain on the server.

Anyways I ran across this page on FS-MP where they said they have fixed the Duke B60's multiplayer issues server side: http://fs-mp.com/server/fixed.html

Does anyone know how FS-MP might of fixed this problem or if there are any other ways to make the Duke B60 more multiplayer friendly? It's such a nice aircraft with one of the best cockpit's I've seen, so it's a shame to see it go to waste.

    Thanks!

  13.

The LAN option with IP did not work. Which ports should be in the range in FSX network settings?

you should beable to connect to our IP: 67.170.81.45, there's people connected and flying right now. If not hop onto our teamspeak and we can help you out. See my above post for the details.

  14. I think the best alternative to GameSpy's multiplayer service is connecting directly via IP.

We still keep our server open 24/7, so if anyone is itching for some multiplayer flying, feel free to join our server!

    Here's how:

    1. When you click the multiplayer tab in FSX, click "Local Network (LAN)" button instead of the GameSpy option

    2. Enter your name then click "Connect Directly" then enter our IP address of 67.170.81.45 then click "Find Sessions"

Also join our TeamSpeak3 server for voice communications or if you have any questions:

    Teamspeak3 client download: http://www.teamspeak...?page=downloads

    Server Address: ks.jmainguy.com

(once you load TeamSpeak3, in the top left panel click "Connections" then "Connect" and enter "ks.jmainguy.com" into the Server Address field, enter a Nickname. There is no password.

We host regular group flights, check out http://msflights.net to keep an eye on them, were hosting one tonight at 9pm.
