  1. No cockpit, no buy. As simple as that.I cannot believe why they even get the idea to create an airplain without a cockpit - and this is the second one. I would very much like to know how the conversations go when the first idea of a no cockpit airplane arised. Did someone actually say "That's a damn good idea. Why haven't anyone thought of that before?"
  2. I voted for ATC, Traffic and TrackIR - and I don't even have TrackIR. If Flight gets support for TrackIR I will get it. But ATC and Traffic is vital for my continuous interests in Flight. If ATC and Traffic get released as DLC I'll buy it.
  3. As this is a game and I want to be able to play it at any time, am or pm, I don't want to be dependant on any of my friends anywhere in the world to get ATC. It's a game. I hope no one take it too seriously. Anyway, "ATC speak" is bound by sertain rules that will have 95% of what most people need within "voice mail jail". I want "real radio communication" and ATC in Flight the same way I want a real airplane in Flight. I want it to be as realistic as possible and at the same time stay inside my computer.
  4. At least we now have decent voice syntesizing and text to speech engines. I wouldn't mind them using synthesizing. I even remember that pre FSX, when an airport didn't have a recorded voice, it could easily syntesize it even back then.Anyway, with Hawaii as our world creating voices for airports, etc, wouldn't take long.
  5. Sorry. That was a bit over the edge. But suggesting that I make a friend play ATC or radio felt a but rude. Maybe it wasn't intended to be, but it felt like it. Especially since ATC and "radio messages" have been used on a previous versions of ms flightsims with greate success in my opinion. And just swiping it off by having a friend pretent to be the ATC is not innovative. However, beeing the ATC in-game in multiplayer, now that would be cool - if implemented correctly.Again, sorry. But ATC is something I feel very strongly about.
  6. Well, either you don't get it or you don't want to get it. I don't want no role playing game. I don't sit on a chair and close my eyes pretending to fly talking to a friend that sits on a another chair pretending to be the ATC. Then I wouldn't need a computer. I talk about "real radio communication" and ATC as they where in previous MS flightsims with for example multiple choice - hence the use of "" in "real radio communication". I want to be able to "chat" with the tower and wait for ok to take off and land. This also means that I would very much like for the sky and ground to be populated with other computer controlled aircrafts too.I understand that the Flight team don't want to create a sim but an arcade flying game with a sim like feel to reach a wider mass. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the first step into getting flightsims onto consoles like the xbox. I love what they have done with Flight but it seems unfinished when compared to earlier flightsims.
  7. Well I kinda know that. What really could make this a more real "flightsim" is simply to add "real radio communication" and ATC - and checklists to use them. Just add that and you get a more realistic flightsim easy.
  8. I've been a casual flight simmer since 98. I probably have an old account here somewhere. I've bought every MS flightsim since then except X. Dunno why, I've just had other things to do. Microsoft Flight was gonna be my way back. And it's fun as an arcade game but it doesn't take me to the next step simulation wise. The graphics is way better than before, but the gameplay is arcade. I will most likely don't buy any DLC because of this.I don't understand why the MS Flight team in their left hand says they don't want a simulation, and then in their right hand gives a weekly challenge described like this: Fly the LDA/DME instrument approach to Honolulu runway 26L in thick fog (Dense Fog flight conditions). In this type of appraoch, you fly it like an ILS (follow a radio beam, but the actual runway is not aligned with the radio beam, so you have to make a turn to actually line up with the runway. It is apparently one of the more challenging types of instrument approaches you can make, especially in a crosswind. The only thing I really miss is communicating with the ATC. That is the only thing that is missing for at least simulating being a simulator. I can walk up to a parked plane. Enter it. Follow a checklist to start up the plane. Taxi to the runway. Take off. Do a loop. Land the plane. Taxi to parking. Turn off the engine. Open the door. Exit the plane. Walk or even run away from the plane. More then I could ever do on any other flightsim. It's almost like a simulator except for the ATC.I cannot help it, but when the ATC first arrived a very long time ago it was as it completed the flight sim genre. All that could be done better then was the grapchis and the details. Now we have all this but the ATC is gone. I miss the ATC.
