  1. Jetwave is a San Diego-based startup that operates the Boeing 737 to destinations across the US, Canada, and Mexico. Weekly charters and frequent VATSIM fly-ins to non-scheduled destinations across the globe diversify our operations. Official operations commence next weekend, but join today and enjoy some open-ended flying to help test out the system! Freeware user? No messy setup here. Our installers do the work for you, hassle free. Fleet, AFCAD for hub, and an AI package are all included. New to FS or interested in VATSIM? Our training program takes you step-by-step through the process, focusing on what matters and not getting bogged down in details not related to flying. The tutorial walks you through a flight, including everything from planning, communicating with ATC, and navigating SIDs & STARs, allowing you to see how concepts apply to execution. Already have your feet under you? Come on over and join up for some group flights. Every brief contains all the planning information you need for a flight, allowing you to load up and go. Hope to see you with us in the skies soon.
  2. I've never used FSBuild so I can't comment, I use this tool I found through a search. Its got every ICAO in the world (that I've needed). Just enter the cruise GS for the aircraft (ex: 737 is 430kts) and it automatically adds 15 minutes to the en route time to account for taxi and climbout. Just setup some columns with flt #, dep/arrv, ETE, and the time equations. Just drop the airport/ETE info down the rows and pick a time for the airplane's first go of the day. Once that plane has put in a full day, start the clock over for the next one. Makes for easy editing - once I got fluid with it I can whip up hundreds of flights in an hour or two.
  3. Excel spreadsheet. I just type in the dep time and it calcs the arrival, then I have the return setup to leave 30 minutes later. 4 dep/arrv times for the price of 1. Furthermore, I use all GMT times. Don't know why everyone messes with calculating local times... its easier for scheduling and computing your flight time, and there's never any mistake or confusion due to timezones or DST.
  4. Update: we received 4 new pilots last week! Our training program has been modified and shortened - attend our 'flight academy' in Daytona Beach and complete 10 flights, progressing through different phases of training just like in real aviation. Pilots with previous VA time or a PPL can bypass the training phase. Join today and add a destination to our route map!
  5. We just began operations and are off to a great start - we opened with a new-and-improved website: live ACARS flight tracking, AI traffic package, and each pilot has a private profile to view their logbook, stats, and flight plans. Visit us today! We're a perfect blend of airline operations and open-ended flightsim. Jetwave is a fictional low-cost carrier based in San Diego and Washington-Dulles; we fly across the U.S. and serve vacation destinations in Hawaii, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Fly our 737s and CRJs on scheduled routes, create custom 'charter flights' to destinations of your choice, or fly the executive staff's bizjets as a reward for your hard work! We even have weekend 'Free Flights' - take your favorite GA plane out for a leisure trip to boost your hours. New to VA's? Our training program puts you on the path to becoming a virtual airline pilot: fly Cessna's from your hometown to improve your skills, then multi-engine aircraft for our air-taxi affiliate in south Florida to prepare for the next challenge. Earn your wings and work your way to the top!
  6. We will begin operations on Saturday, April 21st - apply today and be a part of our history! Visit flyjetwave.com Jetwave delivers a unique aspect to the world of virtual airlines - we take the VA concept and create a 'career mode' for Flight Simulator, as you progress from student pilot to a senior airline captain. Start out in your hometown in pursuit of your pilot's license, then land a job with an air-taxi service to build your multi-engine time and reputation as a pilot-for-hire. After a short stint, you get hired on as a junior crew member with the new low-cost carrier Jetwave Airlines. Keep on flying and work your way to the top! Jetwave is based out of San Diego with an east-coast hub at Washington-Dulles, and a vacation gateway focus-city in Tampa. We operate 737's and CRJ-900's from coast to coast to serve business travelers, plus seasonal service to Hawaii, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Check out the Travel Info page and Forums ("Pilot's Lounge") to learn what makes Jetwave unique.

  8. Jetwave has been an FS side-project that I've been toying with and developing for the last 6 years and I'm ready to get this VA online and flying! Since this has been an off-line creation so far, I'm looking to recruit a staff (mostly a CEO, COO, and webmaster) to turn this into a 'reality' - send me a message! My vision is to create an airline that is a real possibility in commercial aviation: Jetwave is a new low-cost carrier based out of San Diego, with an east-coast hub at Washington Dulles and Caribbean gateway in Tampa. Jetwave utilizes 737-700's to serve vacation destinations and compete with the big carriers on business routes, plus the CRJ-900 to open up brand new regional markets for the areas we serve.Below are screenshots of what I've created so far. I have painted both flyable and AI models, created an AI package and a custom GMAX terminal to handle the increased traffic at KSAN, and even have a basic HTML webage in the works but would welcome someone with greater skills and knowledge that can get this VA up and running!JWA Flight 1145 bound for Kona/Kailua taxis to the hold-short while JWA1017 departs to Colorado SpringsThe new [fictional] Terminal J concourse at KSAN - home to Jetwave, commuter traffic, and non-alliance airlines. Our Boeing 737-700 in flight above SoCal.The CRJ-900 doing a photo shoot over the San Diego area.
