Edetroit,
Finally got it all up and running smoothly at the normal rate. I say finally because my pesky wife (I really do love the gal) placed some unexpected and unwanted demands upon my person, and the realities of a really really slow internet, made it a long drawn out process. Absolutely no problems with the install though and I am a happy little vegemite.
Again, a BIG Thank you for your help.
Regards
Tony
John Hinson,
Thank you for your response. NO, I had not forgotten you and appreciate your response.
I looked at the procedures you outlined and looked at the whole process gain with a new uninstall and reinstall. I still have the error code advising me to reinstall FS2004 and retried the registry fix. This has produced exactly the same result. As I have said before, what ever it is, that I am doing wrongly, is being endlessly repeated and I have no idea where I am leaving the beaten track
I have to say that I am now going to save what little hair I have left on my pockmarked scalp and abandon, temporarily, any further attempts with EVP.
As can be seen from previous posts, Edetroit has solved my problems magnificently, which greatly reinforces my decision to leave well enough alone.
So I am now going to mark this one "solved" with gratitude to your responses and in particular, a huge Thanks to Edetroit.
Now on to the repaints .... hmmmm
Tony
