  1. Thanks Chock. I've worked with RealEngine but haven't found where I can configure wear & tear persistence. I've been looking into the Maintenance and Income Tool freeware, which does have a persistence feature. Thanks for the insight!!
  2. Hey Bjoern, Just wanted to let you know that I have the tool running now on a few airplanes in my sim. Don't know if the re-downloaded files were the trick, but I suspect maybe setting it up on one of the default aircraft first might have helped it along; from there I re-added it to the Carenado planes. One other thing I tried was to run the Windows System File checker, which I used to troubleshoot another application that was having a tough time starting. So maybe this tool fixed something corrupt on my system. One other question if I may (and maybe I just need to get into the settings of the application), I took a flight in my Carenado TBM, and at the end of the flight it gave me my stats for the flight and landing ratings, however in the Aircraft Status window, the Aircraft time was showing 0.0h and time to the A,B, and C checks was not incrementing down. The only element that looked like it recorded anything from the flight, was the Gear condition which displayed 99.98%. Is there a place to get the aircraft time and wear & tear to register? Many Thanks!!!
  3. Thanks Bjoern, Yeah the directories are in the correct locations; panel\MI_Tool_Aircraft\MI_Tool_Aircraft.xml And: FSX\Gauges\MI_Tool\MI_Tool_System.xml FSX\Gauges\MI_Tool\MI_Tool.xml I re-downloaded those files just incase they might have come over corrupt, I'll try those new .xmls again maybe without any changes, if that is possible. By the way, I have the SimConnect from RTM and SP1 installed, which are found under the "LegacyInterfaces" of the SimConnect SDK under MS SDK, however there wasn't a specified folder for SP2. There is a folder called "lib" which I am assuming contains the SP2 SimConnect, but would you know for sure?
  4. Thanks for the Reply Bjoern!! So the MI_Tool folder with the 21 items is installed in my FSX\gauges folder. My panel.cfg only lists MI_tool under window8 and VC01: [Window08] /// Window Start background_color=0,0,0 position=8 size_mm=200,600 window_size=0.15 alpha_blend=0.8 visible=0 ident=39146 //NEVER CHANGE THIS! gauge00=MI_Tool!MI_Tool, 0,0,200,600 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Vcockpit01] Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=512,512 visible=0 pixel_size=1024,1024 texture=$Panel_1 gauge00=TBM850_G1000!G1000_config, 0, 0, 1, 1 gauge01=GAUGETBM850!Gauge_CLOCK_DIG, 0, 0, 1, 1 gauge02=TBM850_G1000!G1000_PFDTBMVC, 0, 0, 384, 266 gauge03=TBM850CAR!ToggleCARG1000, 64, 0, 256, 32 gauge4 = MI_Tool_Aircraft!MI_Tool_Aircraft,1,1,1,1 gauge5 = MI_Tool!MI_Tool_System,1,1,1,1 Your instructions did specify using gauge98 and 99 under the virtual cockpit area, however I ran the panel config installer after an unsuccessful try with the manual settings, and it gave it gauge 4 and 5. Didn't think that would be an issue. Also, at the top of the panel config; it specifies: Window08=MI Tool. I was wondering if MI Tools need to have the underscore. From one blog, I took some advice to move the MI_Tool_Aircraft folder for the panel folder and place it under the FSX\Gauges folder. However this also did not work.
  5. Hello, I've really been looking for a tool like this to breath more life into all my non-A2A aircraft. I am really excited about using this application, but I am having some difficultly getting it to work. I have followed the instructions reading the full manual and double checked my panel configs, even letting the installer work the panel. I installed XML_tools with the installer, and I have 3 versions of SimConnect running (is there A particular version that needs to be installed?) I have FSX deluxe with SP2 and I'm trying to get this working on the Carenado TBM and C337. I've done the changes in the MI_Tool_Aircraft xml as far as crew number, aircraft name and prefix and suffix; and I have selected to disable the purchasing feature. When I start a flight (free flight) I get the Unlock Aircraft window with 0 funds. I am not able to click on anything to get to the Aircraft Status window. If I right click the Used option #2 I get the (Wait) signal, however nothing happens after so many minutes. It seems that Simconnect is not activating the XML tools, or something is not talking with the MI_Tool_Aircraft xml but I can't put my finger on it. My issue sounds close to AndyPaul situation that he decribed when installing MIT on P3D, however I am installing in FSX. Please let me know if there is anything else I can try. Many Thanks!!
  6. Fellow Simmers, Does any one know of a product out there that can be added to Carenado aircraft to simulate wear and tear/aging/damage, and work in FSX? I found a product called Reality Expansion Pack that is being build for Carenado aircraft, however it is only for X-plane. I really enjoy the realistic effects created by Accusim in the A2A aircraft, and since the Carenado c337 and TBM are two of my favorite aircraft, I was hoping to enhance their simulation abilities. Thanks for any information!!!
