  1. First simulator was 747 on the Acorn Electron by Doctor Soft. I think I also had 737 Simulator by Salamander Software but I think it came after the 747 one. 747 - Acorn Electron and 737 Simulator Yeah - the videos are representative of gameplay and no, there were no tweaks to increase FPS or graphics settings....We certainly have come a long way. 🙂 jj
  2. Add to that correct transition altitudes, not everywhere in the world is 18000ft.....
  3. Short answer: No, the ps/2 version doesn't come with a USB controller needed for it to work (it uses the yokes when plugged in). Longer version, you could but you would need to build a usb controller to allow the throttle to be recognised etc and to be honest you'd likely be cheaper just buying a usb throttle jj
  4. Surprised nobody had mentioned navaids etc. Yes there are kludgesout there but iirc the navaids in fsx et Al are hard coded into many different bgls. Would be nice if they were separated so you could easily update then when you do a navigraph update for example so that your mapping/FMC database is the same as the SIM database.... Just a thought. Not a must have but certainly a nice to have if technically feasible within the engine. That and similar to what flight instructors asked piper to do when do designing the traumahawk. Can it stall properly please?
  5. Wasn't PMDG's first aircraft a 757 for the "Fly!" flight simulator back in the late 90's? I seem to recall owning that one. jj
