  1. After reading the info on the upcoming "fix" I decided to try the following. Since I can't get 30 fps with any addon scenery, I decided to go for 20 fps. So in NI I set vsync to 1/3 (60Hz monitor freq / 3 = 20) and in P3D vsync on, limited to 20fps, triple buffering on. It works, as long as the fps doesn't go below 20 fps - no stuttering, but it's not perfectly smooth scrolling either. Trying not to make any sudden moves (paning) which drop fps below 20. I guess for 30 fps I need computer which is at least 30% more powerful than my current setup... oh well, in couple of years maybe The post from LM mentions 90-110fps range, wow... is this really possible with any current hardware? The good news so far is that things like car traffic and autogen density don't seem to affect fps much (definitely not as much as in FSX).
  2. I think it really depends on whether you have any addons installed. Without any addons on my initial P3D v2 setup on 3770K / GTX 680 I had it set to vsync on, frame rate limited to 33 (should that be 30?) and triple buffering on. No stutterring if you can reach the 33 fps. With addons enabled and fps way below 30, I get the stuttering. I think whoever says they have no stutters with GTX 680 are simply running the clean P3D setup without any addons.
