After reading the info on the upcoming "fix" I decided to try the following. Since I can't get 30 fps with any addon scenery, I decided to go for 20 fps. So in NI I set vsync to 1/3 (60Hz monitor freq / 3 = 20) and in P3D vsync on, limited to 20fps, triple buffering on. It works, as long as the fps doesn't go below 20 fps - no stuttering, but it's not perfectly smooth scrolling either. Trying not to make any sudden moves (paning) which drop fps below 20. I guess for 30 fps I need computer which is at least 30% more powerful than my current setup... oh well, in couple of years maybe The post from LM mentions 90-110fps range, wow... is this really possible with any current hardware? The good news so far is that things like car traffic and autogen density don't seem to affect fps much (definitely not as much as in FSX).
