  1. Hi Victor, It sounds like you may be talking about flight numbers (i.e. that displayed on tickets, boarding passes, departure boards etc) and radio callsigns (used by ATC). There's a very good explanation here (https://www.flightradar24.com/blog/clearing-up-call-sign-confusion/) but the short answer is that while flight numbers and callsigns can often be the same, it's increasingly common for flights to be allocated alpha-numeric callsigns (containing numbers and letters) that are different to the flight number - this is a safety measure to reduce the risk of potential confusion between aircrews and ATC for similar-sounding flight numbers, particularly for those operating at busy airports or in congested airspace (you don't want the crew of Ryanair 123 responding to ATC instructions for Ryanair 132, for example). In many of these cases, the callsign will be completely different to the flight number - the flight number for today's Alitalia flight from Rome to Heathrow is 'AZ204', but the radio callsign is 'Alitalia 97U'. In terms of finding out the callsign for a particular flight, Flight Radar 24 or Flight Aware are good places to start... Cheers, Craig
  2. Thanks very much Alan, hope you get the King Air up in v5 soon. It's interesting the RAF has opted to paint ZZ507 in a civilian-style livery, but far more aesthetically appealing than the otherwise drab grey efforts! Funnily enough, I've been to Kinloss (and nearby Lossiemouth) on several occasions - the product of a mis-spent youth in the ATC...happy days!
  3. The repaints are now available in the Avsim library at the following links: Royal Air Force ZZ507: https://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=218074 Royal Navy ZZ503: https://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=218072 Cheers, Craig West
  4. Good afternoon all, I'm not a repainter by any stretch of the imagination but, given the general paucity of King Air repaints (particularly for those of us who fly mostly in the vitual skies of the UK/Europe) I thought I'd give this a bash...so, without further ado, I present Royal Navy Avenger T1 ZZ503 and Royal Air Force Shadow R1+ ZZ507. As the actual aircraft are both modified variants of the King Air 350ER (the latter in particular is festooned with various additional sensors, aerials and other 'lumps and bumps'), you'll have to excuse the liberal use of artistic licence... Both files are in the Avsim pipeline and should hopefully be available imminently. Comments and feedback gratefully recieved. Cheers, Craig West
  5. Superb work as always Marius! I appreciate you're inundated with requests, but any chance you could give some thought to a Gill Airways (9C/GIL) repaint please? Cheers, Craig
  6. Hi Ray, You’re absolutely right, I’ve ran into this problem with several Carenado models including the PC-12 (I’m using the latest update of GSX v1 rather than v2). I’d be interested to hear if you manage to find a solution to this - good luck! Cheers, Craig
  7. The developer included a very useful cold and dark start-up walk-through on its Facebook page - it differs a little from the included checklist, but may give you some pointers...
  8. Looking forward to seeing the finished repaints Marius, I'm a big fan of your excellent work! Would it be cheeky to ask you to take a look at some British airline liveries? Preferably Gill Airways (a sizeable operator of the type and a former home-town hero at my local airport, EGNT), but others such as Loganair, BAC Express and AirUK would be greatly received. Cheers, Craig
  9. Hi Dieter, A right click on the altitude selector dial should do it... Cheers, Craig
