    I'm pleased to say the problem has now been solved  
     
    I uninstalled the PMDG MD-11 program from my pc, but this time I also uninstalled numerous PMDG liveries which were listed, when I accessed the Add/Remove Programs on the control panel.
    I had wrongly assumed that everything to do with the MD-11 would be uninstalled via the "Remove" option on the Shield Wizard.
     
    Once the Liveries were uninstalled, I reinstalled the MD-11, and then downloaded and installed the liveries from the PMDG site.
