  1. FSHUD Support and Version 2.0.368 solved issue.
  2. Hi Bruce, I know I'm almost a year late jumping in here. I'm having a problem with FSHUD, where the "Application has failed to resolve the Flight Simulator Path". On the FSHUD Application Panel, I'm unable to "press" the MSFS Panel Installation Configure button, which I am assuming, would enable the selection of, in my case, Drive D, where my MSFS2020 is installed to. Is my assumption correct do you think? Although the FSHUD Support has been attentive I'm having trouble getting my point across. I'm trusting your problem was resolved. Kind regards, Andy
  3. After msfs2020 issues were sorted out, my EPOS PC8 USB Headset is working ok.
  4. Hi to Bert Pieke, just to thank you again for your recommendation re EPOS PC8 USB Headset, which I quickly sourced, and the package was delivered within 24 hrs. Unfortunately I will have to return them, and request a replacement set, as, on trying them with FSHUD, and then Beyond ATC several times, the results have been the sim CTD. When I launched MSFS2020 today, there was a Mandatory Update, which can sometimes cause problems. Many thanks again. Andy
  5. Many thanks to Drumcode, Funky D and Bert Pieke for replying so promptly. I will certainly look into your recommendations. Best Wishes for 2026. Andy
  6. Hi Folks, I am intending to buy a headset with mic, and use it with FSHUD on MSFS2020. I have never before used a mic on PC. Can someone suggest a model, in the mid range price?. I would appreciate any advice on the subject. Thank you.
  7. I'm in awe of your talents in changing things in the Carenado to transform it to "My plane". My first sim wasMSFS2000, and I had never used a pc before, so everything was a very steep learning curve...but I enjoy a challenge, within reason.
  8. Fingers crossed, and I hope you will find someone to do the painting.🤞
  9. Many thanks for your prompt reply, and for the info on the ADF bug. I'm off to Marketplace now, as I want this aircraft. My family gave me an 80th Birthday Present a few years ago, of a trial flight in a Cessna. I can now relive the experience🙂 Regards
  10. Hi, I saw it on MSFS 2020 Marketplace, and almost bought it, but then I thought it was for only for 2024. May I ask, have you bought for 2020, and it works? Regards
  11. Just don't click to "run as administrator"
  12. I was unable to Buy and Download from marketplace, but found the solution was NOT to run MS2020 as administrator.
  13. One of the things that attracted me to Radar Contact v4.3 was this wording in RC Quick Start: "Enhanced Pre Recorded Chatter is available to further the immersion experience while flying". Whilst I appreciate that hearing a pilot of an aircraft flying over London to"take some photographs" immediately after a comm from a Virgin Atlantic at FL 320 wouldn't normally be heard, I enjoy this chatter. I do not have an added sound card. The RealTek is onboard mb, and I can assure you that 16 bits 192000 Hz(Studio Quality) as per RealTek HD Audio Manager. I would also reiterate that I purchased Radar Contact v 4.3 in 2013, and enjoyed using it with "Pre Recorded Chatter", without any problem whatsoever until December 2015. Anyway I'm now happy that the program is performing ok. Thank you for your reply.
  14. Hi Ray Thank you for your reply, and the CPU info. Yes I'm happy the problem is solved, and thank you again for your help throughout. Kind regards Andy
  15. Hi Ray I thought you may be interested in an update. I have installed a second Samsung 250GB SSD (F Drive), and installed FSX and all my aircraft addons, ORBX Scenery and REX products to this drive. Radar Contact v4.3 was reinstalled to Program Files(x86)in the C drive. RC problem still persisted unfortunately, and I sent a Log File to JD. He asked if FSX was running at 2x speed, if I was running FSX or RC with extra cpu%, or with cpu affinity. I don't know what these mean, but I mention them as someone may, at sometime, find some food for thought. Another suggestion JD made was very helpful, and the comms problem now seems to have been resolved(fingers crossed). JD said to reduce the quality of the sound, as some cards "produce sound quality that human ears can't sense or appreciate". My Realtek sound is onboard the Motherboard, and I have reduced the setting from 24 bits 192000Hz down to 16 bits 192000 Hz. I have made 4 flights and all comms were audible. I selected Pre Recorded Chatter and AI Chatter. I also selected only 6 Controllers..all working ok. It just so happened that the last Log File I made for JD had comms problems right from t "Clearance" to the "Turn off at the high speed" after touchdown. It gave him something to work on. I didn't have the problem until almost a year after I bought the PC, and I didn't change any sound settings previously, so I don't know what happened...but I'm happy it's fixed now. Kind regards Andy
  16. Ray, I should've added that RC Pre recorded chatter was not selected during the 2 flights, but FSX chatter was. I'm going to try a flight with RC pre recorded on, as I think it's a great feature. Andy
  17. Hi Ray, Tonight I've flown Glasgow to Manchester with no comms problems at all, so the Disk Cleanup seems to have been the answer!! The return flight Manchester to Glasgow was fine until the Approach Controller, your goodself, said to "contact the tower". Pilot acknowledged landing clearance, but there was no instruction from the tower...but I can live with that. I did make a log of the flight, however I don't think there is any need for me to trouble JD with it, as there is a 99.9% improvement in the program as far as my PC is concerned. It's a pity my lack of understanding of "good housekeeping" has taken up so much of your time, and I apologise for that. I will consider getting a second 250 Gb SSD to house all the FSX stuff. As I have previously said Ray, I appreciate your assistance very much indeed, and without it I would probably have stopped using RC. Thank you most sincerely Kind regards Andy
  18. Hi Ray, Many thanks for that. I have carried out the Disk Cleanup procedure, and it has increased the free space on the SSD by 4.6 Gb. I will "Cleanup" regularly. I will however have to get a second drive, as I hope to continue buying more add-ons from time to time. I'll have a couple of flights over today and tomorrow and let you know how things go. I greatly appreciate your assistance. Kind regards Andy
  19. Hi Ray, Thanks for the Disk Cleanup info. I had thought of doing that, but some folks on the net said not to do so on an SSD. Perhaps they were confusing Cleanup with Defrag. However I'm happy to be guided by your goodself, and will run the Disk Cleanup I should really be thinking about a second SSD. I use this pc exclusively for flightsim, but it's surprising how quickly space can be filled up with all the add-on stuff which is available. Andy
  20. Hi Ray, OK I'll do another Log flight tomorrow and see how it goes. This time I wont select Dean and JC as pilot and copilot. My PC has Intel i5 Processor. 8GB RAM. SSD has 23.5 GB free of 232 GB. nVidia GTX 970 Graphics Card. Sound is by way of Realtek onboard. Supplied by Wired2Fire ORBX Scenery REX Weather Architect, REX Texture, REX soft clouds PMDG 737 NGX, 747, 777. QW Bae 146, 757 Majestic Dash8 , Twin Otter LevelD 767 Thank you for your support Andy
  21. Hi Ray Thank you for your reply, and sorry I couldn't get back to you until now. I checked the winwood folder, and both 3 and 10 folders have exactly the same number of wavs, gif and text files as you have. 1911 in total, 1909 wav plus the other two. The a_egcc.wav is present in both 3 and 10 folders. I've been a bit silly (senior moment) in not realising that 3 and 10 were not selected as Controllers, because they were already assigned as Pilot and Co-Pilot. I understood that the option was available not to have Pilot and Co pilot voices also assigned as Controllers. Could the fact that I have not also selected them as Controllers be the problem? Yes, "Manchester" was enunciated in the Clearance from ATC. Andy
  22. Ray Just to bring this up to date. I've received an e-mail from JD. He has asked me to do another couple of flights and submit log files. He asked me to enable Controllers 3 and 10, and turn off Pre Recorded Chatter. ( Ronzie mentioned the Chatter feature too). All Controllers except Pilot Dean Barry and Co-Pilot J.C.Howell were selected, and I did not select Pre-recorded chatter for my latest "Log" flight. I flew EGPF- EGCC last night and the problem began at the Clearance stage, with the aircraft still at the gate, and continued intermittently until the"Contact Tower" stage at EGCC. I looked over the Log after I had closed RC and FSX, and interestingly it showed Controllers 3 and 10 not selected. This must have been the same as my previous Log to JD showed, hence his instruction to select them in my next couple of Logs. It seems you were on the right track in thinking the Contoller voices files could be the source of the problem. When I first asked for help on the forum, you suggested selecting all Controller voices which I did, and have continued to do. Initially it helped greatly, and then things started to go pear shaped. As I previous said, I have uninstalled/reinstalled RC a few times to try to resolve the problem, but this has been done using a download which I saved 18 months ago, and I'm wondering if there could be something wrong with the actual download file. Regards Andy
  23. Ray and Ronzie I've sent a log to JD, which he has acknowledged. Unfortunately he has recently had hand surgery, and is finding typing difficult, which is understandable. I'll keep you posted. Regards Andy
  24. Ray and Ron, Thank you for the info on logging. This is useful as I haven't made a log before. Just a thought... I'm wondering if I may be the problem here. I have a habit of starting FSX with the aircraft on the runway, and then moving it onto a taxiway, prior to contacting Clearance( of course FSX is running before I start RC as Administrator). Could the fact that I'm not doing the start up and pushback from the gate position cause any problem? After receiving Clearance, I then contact Ground for taxi instructions. Not protocol, but I'm keen to be up up and away.
  25. Ray, Unfortunately, Otto handling comms did not resolve the issue. I'll try generating the log as you suggested, then send it to JD. Thank you for your assistance once again. Kind regards Andy
