December 29, 2025Dec 29 Hi Folks, I am intending to buy a headset with mic, and use it with FSHUD on MSFS2020. I have never before used a mic on PC. Can someone suggest a model, in the mid range price?. I would appreciate any advice on the subject. Thank you. andy a
December 29, 2025Dec 29 I've been using Razer and couldn't be more happier. These sound great, feel great, looks like an aviation headset too! The batteries last long time too. https://www.razer.com/pc/gaming-headsets-and-audio/blackshark-line Jacek G. December 29, 2025Dec 29 I find the Sennheiser USB headsets to be light and comfortable.. see if you can find a PC8 or PC16 model.. Now marketed by EPOS. Reasonable price as well.. 😉 https://www.eposaudio.com/en/ca/products/pc-8-usb-voice-over-ip-headset-1000432 Edited December 29, 2025Dec 29 by Bert Pieke Bert

January 3Jan 3 Author Hi to Bert Pieke, just to thank you again for your recommendation re EPOS PC8 USB Headset, which I quickly sourced, and the package was delivered within 24 hrs. Unfortunately I will have to return them, and request a replacement set, as, on trying them with FSHUD, and then Beyond ATC several times, the results have been the sim CTD. When I launched MSFS2020 today, there was a Mandatory Update, which can sometimes cause problems. Many thanks again. Andy andy a
January 7Jan 7 Author After msfs2020 issues were sorted out, my EPOS PC8 USB Headset is working ok. andy a
January 8Jan 8 Commercial Member Just to add to this thread for any future participants I can recommend the Razer Blackshark v2 Pro - especially if you have a fat impressively proportioned head like I do. The metal bars in the headband are very robust which means opening the headphones up to place them on your head hundreds of times doesn't weaken any of the plastics. I've had to say goodbye to many very good headsets because of this issue - look at the way the ear pieces attach to the headband - if they're hinged or the attachment points look a bit thin, look elsewhere.
