  1. Thanks John .. I think you're right. I've tried to be creative but nothing works. I think I do remember seeing it on the FMC from a published SID/STAR so maybe you're right. okay if in the database, but not pilot-enterable. I found one in the FMC database. KMEM 18C arrival, MASHH1 STAR, VUZ transition .. waypoint FLOND is 210/9000 11000.
  2. An updated STAR now requires an altitude between 16000 and 14000 at a particular waypoint. Is it possible to enforce this (as written) in the FMC or a way of using /16000B and /14000A together? In this descent, using only the "above" would work most of the time but an ATC "hold" or manual intervention prior to the waypoint could change the descent profile. Thanks in advance for any help :-)
  3. Thanks Dave. So every time I start AS, it "builds a (new/custom) theme" based on the existing/selected weather?
  4. When I start AS2012 and build a flightplan, I'm asked "Would like to install weather-influenced graphics based on your new route average weather conditions". Choices are Install AS2012 Graphics or Install Snapshot Graphics. The Users Guide recommends the first one. When I select it, it takes a full 3+ minutes to complete the theme installation. Is this normal? I'm running on some pretty serious hardware. Not a big deal, I guess, but I thought I'd ask just in case I've configured something wrong. . Thanks in advance!
  5. Hi Marwan, You can change the default start-up state to whatever you choose. When you go to PMDG Setup, Start-up State .. be sure to click NEXT PAGE for more choices. C & D is one of them.
  6. Hey Everyone, Love the NGX and am slowly learning. I'm following Tutorial #1 to the letter (I think) and just after I engage the A/P, the nose begins to bob up and down rapidly. I'm not sure if the A/P disconnects eventually due to this or if it's because I gently try to stabilize the nose (likely the latter, huh? ). I generally try to figure things out myself but this has happened all three times I've done the tutorial, and I'm gettinmg nowhere on my own. Thoughts? Thanks in advance! Oooops .. I am missing one step in the tutorial. It involves pressing the inHG/hPa button on the Integrated Standby Flight Display to switch to hectopascals. I can find it! :)
