I fixed FSX!!!!!! all I had to do was to make a full administrator account and it installed with no problem! and im getting FSX to use my 2GB ATI HD 7730m card, and my i7-3630QM card, and it only uses 3.2GHz of my 3.4GHz processor. thanks for the help guys!

the registry edit didn't work. I don't wanna wipe the OS if I don't have to.

thanks I don't have Windows 8 Pro on DVD, Samsung didn't give me a CD with W8 on it, and my Computer doesn't have "Boot From CD". i have UAC set to the lowest level. anything else i can try?

JJ, it didn't work. it checked for problems relating for install, and had me chose from a list,but since the install for FSX didn't let it install all the way it wasn't on the list. any other ideas??

I will try that. Thanks. FSX didn't delete any drivers. The system wipe did. I reloaded the factory software on there and deleted most of everything except the graphics controls

I did that. I wiped the OS a few days ago and it installed FSX just fine, but deleted the driver I needed for my HD7730m 2GB graphics card, so I restored to the factory image and deleted most of the software except the graphics driver. I'll keep trying to fix the 1722 error

all users, which are only myself, have Full control. UAC is turned to the lowest setting, but I still get "Error 1722". anything else I can try????? help!

yes I tried the Microsoft reset "Fix" and it didn't work. and my account is the admin for my pc

my account is the only account on the PC, and there isn't really any programs installed since I got this PC yesterday ^^^ This was the command prompt "Fix" that didn't work. I googled it several times before I posted here. with no luck.

I just got a Samsung laptop today, and tried to install FSX with Windows 8 X64 and my addons, but when I try to install FSX at the very end of the install it says "Error 1722" and I tried the "Fix" with the command prompt and that didn't work either. I have also experienced errors 1603 and 1605. but Error 1722 prevents FSX from being installed. can anybody help me? my PC can run FSX no problem, and I don't see why its having these idiotic issues. my pc can run FSX with no problem, but the install wont finish. ive tried two different copies of FSX, Deluxe and regular, both have shown the error 1722. My system specs are: Intel i7-3630QM @ 3.4GHz, ATI Radeon HD 7730m 2GB graphics, 6GB DDR3 ram @1600MHz and 500GB HDD. can someone please help?? Error 1722 says "There is a problem with this windows installer package, a program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected, contact your support personnel or package vendor" HELP!

i purchased UTX USA from a website and got a DVD copy, and it says ERROR CODE 11FD. heres what it says. Ultimate Terrain X-USA has not been totally installed because of the following reason: Flight One Software/UTUsaFsx/bgl/LIGHT2/LMX2518J.Bgl: This file contains invalid data (Error 11FD) you will have to run this ulitity again to completely install Ultimate Terrain X-USA. HELP!! it says Error 11FD was a corrupt download, but this is a DISC from Flight one!! help me!!!!!! :mellow:
