  1. While dismantling my existing setup I made a quick video on how I organised the connections on my G1000 suite so that I only need to unplug 4 connections to remove it, making it very simple to disconnect when not in use. The video is here: https://youtu.be/03dgv2a0aIQ
  2. Hi all, I'm taking delivery of three 50" TVs tomorrow and will be trying to fit them into a pretty cramped attic to make an immersive cockpit. (I think I've measured it correctly!) The plan is to make this as versatile as possible, with interchangeable instrument panels to allow the use of a variety of aircraft types. I've posted a video of my existing setup here: https://youtu.be/antcjU6hyzY Hope you find it interesting 🙂 Dom
  3. Hi all, I've been playing around with FS Panel Studio and doing some manual panel.cfg editing, trying to create a custom panel of gauges that I can display on my second monitor. I'm planning on creating a 'mask' (hardboard with holes cut out for each instrument) to place over these in my home cockpit. I can get the FSX default gauges to display in a panel but they look terrible on my second monitor, pixellated and blocky. My main display is 3 monitors running as a single display of 5760x1080, and the instrument monitor is running at 1680x1050. My custom panel (and the default FSX 2D panels) look fine on the main display, but pretty grim when I drag them to the lower res monitor and resize them. Questions: 1) Is there anything I can do (I'm guessing in panel.cfg?) to get them to look okay at a particular resolution? 2) If not, if I purchase RealityXP gauges and add them to my custom panel, will they look better at the lower res? I have the demo but that's an exe that doesn't let me place the gauges in a panel.cfg file to test them. The gauges produced by running the exe look fine. Thanks, Dom
  4. Hello all. I've been building a generic home cockpit in my attic for a few weeks now, and recording my progress in a blog. http://generichomeco...blogspot.co.uk/ Feel free to take a look if you have a few spare minutes. Any comments will be welcomed, either here or on the blog Dom
