Hi again, and thanks a lot for all the replies and effort you have put in giving me answers, its very much appreciated! ^_^ Iv'e set up FSX with Kostas guide now, all tweaks in fsx.cfg and settings in Nvidia Inspector and FSX, but nothing much is changed. But i'm installing the Corsair H100 tonight, target clock speed is 4,5 GHZ so i will see if things improve then, and report back!

Im running 64bit Windows 7, FSX on the same hard drive as the OS (Intel 330 180GB SSD) Driver version is 301.42. And the low FPS is something that bothers me much, and that i notice constantly. So much it makes me feel like something is very wrong ... :( I will give you screens of my sliders asap, dough changing them doesn't change much. Just one thing: When running FSX, one of my CPUs 4 cores is constantly on 100%, while the others show about 10-20 percent on the graph. Can this be the cause of my problems or is it FSX's age that makes it this way on modern CPUs?

I will try to give you as much information as possible: First of all, here is the link to a screenshot from FSX with taskmanager and Nvidia Inspector: http://bildr.no/image/1276109.jpeg (i don't know why, but you must manually change bildr.no/thumb/ to /image/ to get full size) Im standing on the ground at Amsterdam Schipol. Antialiasing is disabled in FSX Autogen on very dense (changing this down dosent change much). No traffic at all. Scenery complexity on very dense. Blue skies. Clouds Draw distance at minimum. FPS is a bit bouncy when looking around (20-30) but no stutters. I currently only have 4 GB ram inserted, since there was a problem with one of the two modules, giving me some blue screens. So im waiting on a new one from the store. But i had the same performance problem with 8GB inserted. Just tell me is there is any more information you guys need! So glad for any help i can get! ^_^

Thanks guys! I tried to apply the automatically tweaked fsx.CFG, it gave me a few frames extra but noting revolutionary ... As a reference im loading the first PMDG tutorial flight that starts on the ground, not quite sure where it is. Does anyone have any idea about how good my fps shoud be with my specs?

Hi! Just bought a new computer, and i'm experiencing (what i believe to be) bad performance in FSX when running the NGX. My specs are: Intel 3570K Zotac GTX670 8 GB ram Nothing is overclocked. I'm anywhere from 15 to 30 fps in the VC on the ground at most urban airports, averaging at about 20-25 with autogen disabled and FSX on generally mid settings. Resolution is 1680x1015. When i view the aircraft from the outside, or with 2D panels its a bit better (30-40FPS) but still not what i expected... I have no other addons running. Both NGX and FSX is up to date. Is there something wrong here, or do i just need to lower my expectations? Ending up with 15 FPS when i put in all the other addons is not very good... Thanks so much for any help! ^_^
