  1. I have recently gotten back into flying vr after upgrading my system. I haven't flown P3d for some time in vr. Now that I am attempting to do so again I am having an issue with the menu that is normally at the top of the screen in non vr mode shows up as a box to the left of the cockpit in vr and I can't get rid of it no matter what I try. I tried the hold alt function to hide the menu but to no avail.

  2. for me the in msfs 2020 the autopilot regardless of what I do continues to climb, there is no way to stop it. It's been that way since I bought the sim. I just wondered if anyone bought the 3rd party version from Carenado if it functioned as it should. I have no problem spending the $40 bucks but not if it doesn't have a useable ap

Nope, what worked in the C172 G1000 didn't work in the C208. Nothing vertical works on AP. Not pitch, altitude, VS, or FLC, unless I start out in the C172 steam then switch over to the Caravan. Getting a new system in a couple of weeks, so maybe that install will have a working Caravan.

my system is new, I think this is a glitch that doesn't effect every sim or install, I have tried everything, every tip to the letter, only the 208 refuses to level off with the autopilot. It is clearly a bug that doesn't effect all systems but does some.

I think it should be possible in the G1000 to setup FLC speed/alt, and select it prior to takeoff, then turn on AP after takeoff and have it follow, but it doesn't work for me. I have watched tutorials where it is done successfully this way. But I have figured out that if I don't touch anything AP related prior to takeoff, then once in air turn on AP, then turn on FLC, and then setup FLC parameters, it will work. Well, it worked in the 172 G1000 anyway, will try in the 208 later.

I am only at this point experiencing the issue with the 208. I have test the 172 steam and G1000, B58, Mooney Bravo so far and all work as expected, I will try them all but so far my only issue is with the 208.

  5. It must differ from machine to machine I guess, it had worked for me when I first bought it but seems broken now, trying all the Ga's I have in the deluxe version to see which one's are affected for me, so far just the 208.

I haven't had that problem. I set the desired alt. I set the vspeed and enable VS. I set the FD. I set the proper NAV mode. Then after take off, I trim to get close to my rate of climb and then engage the AP.  It just continues the climb and engages ALT hold at correct level

  6. It seems no matter what I do, when I set the altitude the aircraft continues to climb, even when I set it to a lower altitude and engage -vs speed it continue's to climb the only way to stop it is to disengage the AP and hand fly it. As soon as the AP is engaged regardless the plane climbs.

    any help would be appreciated,

    Thanks

    Welcome on board!

Ramon described how you can assign a yoke button to a Panel Window command in P3D:  Options/Key Assignments.

The complication arises because a2a will put your GTN popup in Window14 or such (after the last window).. and you can only assign Window00 through 09 to a key or button.

Have a good look at your a2a V35 folder and find, first the panel folder, and then within that folder, the panel.cfg file  (you can also simply search for it..)

The panel.cfg file is a text file and can be edited, using Notepad, or another text editor.

If you get stuck, report back and we will see if we can help you further..

ok I am totally stuck I see nothing that suggest pop out what so ever, and nothing at all that remotely says gtn750

    any helo would be appreciated,

    Thanks,

  8. The new vatsim for me has been a huge failure, I fly both x-plane and p3d, support is non existent and overall it is just a huge failure, the potential is there but they seem to have really dropped the ball, I know they are volunteer's but it came with so much hype, and frankly just doesn't work well.

Scot:As soon as you start the sim, you will see a menu from fly x plane on down. The update x plane bar is lower. Click on that. I know it is time consuming but well worth the wait. After there it tells you to download megabites worth of info.Once that is done, sign out and  reenter the sim. Then click on fly x plane. Happy Flying!!!!!!

Thanks for the help Paul but I don't see that option on my set up are you perhaps using the steam version?

Same thing happened to me just now.I shut it down and installed under update X Plane. It installed fine.Last year this happened, and the sim crashed. Having to reinstall the sim. Good luck out there. Thanks for the heads up on the update Scot.

How do I update from within the program I'm not able to find it?

    Thanks,
