  1. Hello, I've been watching this thread for a few days and I don't get the above option at all. I've changed DSR to 2x and when I go back into P3D I just see my current ones,1920x 1080, nothing higher.? I'm using a 27' 120hz monitor. Thanks
  2. OK cheers for that. I will play around and see what works. Many thanks
  3. hello again. I've been reading some other forums on P3D and came across a post which the person said you should have these 3 settings. WATER_REFRACTION_DETAIL=0, ENABLE_BATHYMETRIE=0, WATER_CLARITY=0 This is mine currently and I'm getting about 20/25fps. What are the correct settings or is it down to machine spec etc. ENABLE_BATHYMETRY=0 WATER_CLARITY=30 WATER_REFLECTION_DETAIL=2 Thanks
  4. Sorted out simlauncher now. Just my iFly to do. Not getting any support from the flight sim Estonia guys. Well almost there.
  5. Will, just tested sb4 and its working perfectly mate. Thanks again. Now I just need to sort out SimLauncher(keeps crashing after I choose all my options and click fly now) and I don't have landing gear on my iFly737
  6. Thanks Will, I will test it out tonight when I get home.
  7. This is moving away from the original question, but I managed to install SB4. I now see the SB option when I click add-ons. I click it and it just disappears and now its not there any more?
  8. OK thanks again both regarding sb4 I will try it again. No not me, first time asking about 120hz. Just wanted to know if using these settings was the right choice for 120hz monitor... "target frame rate set to 30 and in Nvidia inspector I have V Sync set to 1/2 refresh rate "
  9. How please? Did you just use the migrator? Word Not Allowed, did you see the bit about 120hz monitor please?
  10. Word Not Allowed, Many thanks for the links. I've had your blog booked marked ever since I got back in to flying again(used to Sim about 6 years ago). I went and bought P3D on Saturday and currently running it side by side with FSX. I also went and bought the migrator tool from Flight Sim Estonia and slowly moving a number of scenery and planes over to P3D. I having a few issues but I'm sure I will sort them out. My IFly 737 doesn't have landing gear, where in FSX I have no issues with this?? I have asked on the Flight Sim Estonia forum if they have seen this before. I also cant fly on Vatsim with P3D which is a bit unfortunate, hence why I keeping FSX running. Anyway thanks again and I'm currently using your tweaking guide to get FSX and P3D the best I can. Brenden Edit. I forgot to ask. I'm running a 120hz monitor. I have my target frame rate set to 30 and in Nvidia inspector I have V Sync set to 1/2 refresh rate is that correct please?
  11. That's it. Okay cheers again. Might just head over to the website now and have a little purchase.
  12. Cheers thanks for the heads up. One last question(or maybe a few more ) what is the difference between Academic and Professional versions please?
  13. cheers thank you.
  14. Hello, Sorry if this has been brought up before. I did look at some older topics and couldn't find anything. I'm thinking of moving from Fsx to Prepar3d and was wondering if the Academic license was enough to get the same enjoyment I currently get from Fsx? Also can I port over most of my add ons. Ftx orbx scenery, vfr photo scenery. aivlasoft efb. iFly, pmdg, caranado, quality wings, level design, flight 1 and a few others. Thanks again for reading.
