  1. FSX Gold and Windows 8 - for a newbie

    Hello all- Newbie to the site since I have not had FS game since 2002 came out. Anyways I have browsed over various posts on this and other sites and cant seem to get a consensus on compatibility for Windows 8, as well as a clean set of install (specific to W8) install instructions to avoid these dreaded error codes. Some seem to have issues, some not, and I am by no means a computer expert, not to mention the learning curve when I go from XP to Windows 8 on the new laptop. My new "midlevel" laptop: 3rd Gen Intel® Core™ i5-3210M processor 6GB RAM (expandable to 8) Intel HD 4000 graphics Just looking for a maybe a little direction on any install tips, or even weather you think it is worth it to try on this system? Thanks so much
