Hello Thanks for your suggestion. Last nite I set the A/T throttle override to Never and could take off successfully. I never had this problem before my FSX reinstallation so dont know what gives but at least it solved my problem. Thanks!
  2. Does anyone know of any freeware that will keep a log book of all your flights in FSX? I am not looking for something fancy, all I want to record is the aircraft, date/time, Dep/Arr airports and flight time. I know there's a "Pilot Records" in FSX but it seems that if I reload a saved flight in the middle, the Dep airport will be blank. I am wondering how other PMDG simmers are logging their flights. Thanks!

I can't remember the thrust reading but I do see that after clicking TOGA the thrust lever does advance all the way up and I can hear the engines going to full power. Then once the plane reaches about 85 knots the lever then moves back to idle.

What do you mean by firewall my hardware throttles? I am flying on my laptop with just the keyboard and mouse so I dont have any hardware controllers connected. I will give that A/T option a check when I get home. No, I am not using any hardware controllers. just keyboard and mouse. Also I dont have FSUIPC installed.

Hello, recently when I attempt to take off my plane will always go into RTO mode when the speed reaches about 85 knots. I checked the flight manual and noted 2 parameters causing RTO: 1. speed reaches 85 knots and 2. thrust at idle. For my take off procedure, I always increase the thrust to about 55% N1 and then click the TOGA button so my thrust lever are never at idle. Also when I look at the thrust lever during take off, I could see after clicking TOGA it will advance to full so I can't see what else is causing the issue. I searched for some similar posts but they related to issues caused by hardware control, which I am not using. Can anyone advise what else I could have done wrong during my take off? I heard that not setting RTO is one way to solve it but then it beats the purpose of this sim. Thanks. Alan
  7. I never use the tower. The only view I use is the "Locked spot" view.
  8. Sorry Ryan for not reading the intro before posting. I never had such problem with NGX and other aircrafts before so I thought it's something new. Anyway, I can live with the workaround. I am enjoying the plane by the way.
  9. Hi all, Thanks for your reply. So it seems that it's not just me having this issue. Will this problem be solved in a future patch? thanks!
  10. Hello I am having this problem and don't know if anyone is expereincing the same issue. When I fly in virtual cockpit view, the gauge seems to be frozen. I have to fix it by changing to another view and then back to the virtual cockpit view. It doesn't happen everytime but it has occurred once or twice over the weekend. It'd be great if anyone can advice on this issue. thanks! Alan

Hello, May I know what liveries are included in the PMDG 777 download? I purchased 737NGX few months ago and logged only about 40 hrs of flying time. But I still hope to be able to fly this lovely bird and hope to see the -300ER variant soon! Alan
  12. Hello all, I have been flying with PMDG 737-NGX for a few months now and I got to say I enjoy my flying time very much. For FSX I currently only have the PMDG 737-NGX add-on installed and I would like to know what other add-ons I should try to enhance my flying experience. In some PMDG737ngx videos that I have seen on youtube, I can see amazing graphics of not just better terrain but the plane exterior seems to look more realistic as well. Any inputs from all simmers would be appreciated! Alan
  13. The result is the same as selecting "End Flight"
  14. Hello, I just checked and the option is already ticked. alan
  15. Hello, I have FSX with PMDG 737 NGX latest patch install on a Windows 8 system. I don't know whether it has to do with the add-on or not, but I realize that whenever I choose "End flight" in FSX, FSX will directly exit to desktop without any warning message. As I recall, choosing end flight should bring me to the main FSX menu. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it? Thanks. Alan
