September 1, 201312 yr Hello, I have FSX with PMDG 737 NGX latest patch install on a Windows 8 system. I don't know whether it has to do with the add-on or not, but I realize that whenever I choose "End flight" in FSX, FSX will directly exit to desktop without any warning message. As I recall, choosing end flight should bring me to the main FSX menu. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it? Thanks. Alan
September 1, 201312 yr Hi Alan Check this first. When the sim is loaded go to Settings- General, there is an option there to tick which says: Prompt on exit. ensure that is ticked and try again. Kind regards John Calleja (armchair pilot) John Calleja

September 3, 201312 yr Hi again Alan What happens if you close the sim from the "exit" (CTRL C) choice instead of end flight? Kind Regards John Calleja John Calleja

September 4, 201312 yr I'm wondering if you used the Time Compression feature during your flight? In my experience whenever I've used FSX's built-in simulation accelerator (Options -> Simulation Rate), FSX frequently CTD's when ending the flight. I had the same experience last night with the 777, however I used both the 777's Time Compression feature and FSX's simulation accelerator at various points during the flight. So I can't say the CTD problem is specifically related to the 777. I'll try it again today and only use the 777's TC feature. Caveat: Can't remember the last time I had a CTD of any kind in FSX with the exception of the above, so my installation is pretty solid. - Jev McKee, AVSIM member since 2006.
