I don't think i was clear enough, I do have a galaxy geforce gtx 580 oced, 16gb ddr3 ram , ssd ocz vertex 4 128gb, ivy bridge i5 3570k.. h220 water cooling..what are the benefits? :s what do u mean b I/O BOUND?

What benefits would a 4.8 ghz overclock on ivy bridge gove to fs other than fps. Better texture loadig? Better autogen loading?

i managed to get most blurries out, but some are still there at around 500 knots plus. I got a new water cooler pre ordered, and am hoping to push my ivy bridge chip to 4.8ghz. Would this make textures load faster? What are some benefits of such a high oc just for fsx.

i had 15gb left on my ssd with page files, but since i had 16gb ram , i disabled page file : ) 30.2gb now . as for "it may slow down load times" what does that mean? Do you mean textures? I haven't had any problems with fps.. only with textures

hey guys, after MAJOR tweaking I finally got blurries to start to disappear even at 500 knots! But it seems to be a tad slow, what I mean by this? Suppose I'm flying at 500 knots, textures seem to be pretty clear, but when I press pause they load even clearer! Is this any tweak to make them sharp all the time? I've tried Nicks guides, as well as setting up nvidia inspector. Isn't this " lagg " supposed to disappear with an ssd? ;S. Could raising the Texturemaxload from 30 benefit? Also do I need to add the swap_timeout line to my cfg? Last question , when I use fps limiter and check frames within game it still seems to go up to 40 fps even though there locked at 35?

can a ssd thats almost full ( 12 - 13 percent available ) cause this as well?

Ever since I wasted over 1800 on my gaming rig for fsx, I can't get it to stay stable and load textures fast as well as autogen. When I watch videos on youtube I see people with lower specs playing the game better then me, and no-to little scenery popping. My specs are ; i5 3570k oced to 4.3ghz on Air, galaxy gtx 580 -- 860mhz core , 16ddr3 ram 1600, p8z77 mobo, ocz vertex 4 ssd 128gb ( FSX AND OS ). I've tried the bojote tweak, as well as numerous amount of tweaks. I am currently running 4- 5 addons ( GEX, REX, AERO SOFT CHICAGO, SAN FRAN, ETC ). I am at the last point of either literally destroying my machine and recording it on video, or giving it away.. Can someone please give me their fsx.cfg that runs fsx well with specs close to mine? thanks for answering , so basically OS and FSX wont make any difference compared to fsx alone on a ssd? Also gex and rex wont benefit from the faster texture loading from ssd? im a noob with ssd's ( first one ever going to be used ) so thanks for the help :D

Hello again; Before I start using my SSD and while its still in the box, I was wondering something. I don't use many FSX addons other then GEX AND REX , so 128gb SSD will be enough for space. My question is putting my OS and My Fsx on that ssd will give me the same performance as just putting fsx and addons on the SSD? How would you use a 128gb SSD assuming I have enough space for sure for fsx with my SSD. I don't know if I should put OS AND FSX ON my ssd or just fsx and addons. Will it make a difference? -- in that video you will see that his fsx textures don't lagg and autogen shows up quite fast.. hes in raid 0 though and I heard raid 0 isn't that much worth it for fsx. Dear Community, I recently purchased a ocz vertex 4 ssd, I am going to install my OS and Fsx on it because I don't run many addons. My question is would my ssd make stuff run "faster" or make any difference if I installed OS on a seperate ssd? Or will installing both OS and Fsx on one SSD be fine? Also what are the benefits of ssd raid 0 for fsx compared to single ssd with OS and Fsx? Does it make a difference in texture loading? Im on a budget and dont want to spend too much on another one, but I'm still worried if one will do the job for overall differences.
