Hi folks, A happy owner of this great ac! I did post this over at the Carenado support fórum but that seems a bit dead. As per the perfomance sheet, this bird seems to be able to do FL240. In real life (as per wiki) it´s around 25,000ft. Can we say that 24,000 is it´s service ceiling? yeah we should turn on the oxygen at that hight, but I don´t think we will vertualy faint :lol: Thank you. Care, Mike

Hi Rob, Iam new around here but here it goes... Two weeks ago I had issues with my recent buy of the ATR 72 500 from flight 1, and as a reminder it´s from 2007 and not a new aircraft in FSX. After alot of issues including transparent liveries, I came to the conclusion that my ATR became a corrupted install. When that happens there´s nothing much that you or support can do. Reinstalling or any tweaks you can do will not help. At least that I or the support team knew. Some things that come to mind... - Did you clear your registry before a new reinstall and all files regarding the Q 400? - I know this sounds silly but a defrag sometimes helps. - Is your graphics driver up to date? - Are you sure your not missing a .dll file on your Q 400? Can you verify with Majestic? - I know this is a difficult one but could you install the Q 400 on another pc that has FSX? - And the last and most radical try would be a full format of your drive with a fresh new windows install. Could be an issue with the offline installer, Majestic would have to help you with that. Hope you can get it fixed Rob, these are just things that come to mind. I don´t have the Q 400 yet. Howdy Norman! Thank you for your advice, will do! I agree, Ron knows his chops! He is of great help Indeed! The thing is that I bought RC (apart from working great and it´s fun), so I could practise ATC proceedings, so it be more realistic and so when I go online I don´t make a fool of myself. Since aim in the practise stage and when I do something wrong, I do tend to quit the flight in mid air, frustration comes upon me LOL! So I don´t always make it to ground :lol: What aim doing now is stop RC and afterwards end flight. Don´t know if that´s correct in a situation as explained above. BTW Norman, a bit off-topic here. You might like to check out MCE, it´s a add-on with voice recognition for copilot, ground and RC. You wont fly alone anymore! Check out some vids at YouTube, David Herky is an ace and uses MCE and RC, he has plenty of vids on YT, or type in FSX MCE. Again, thanks for your guidence Norman and enjoy your weekend! Hi Ronzi, Thanks again for your kind help and attention! Regarding start up of FSX, I use the Flight 1 safe start exe for complex aircraft which loads automaticly, so I guess aim cool there. I then load the aircraft I wanna use from the pull down menu and then load my flight plan. Everything seems to work well now! I got the white text showing and my keystrokes work and RC gave me a Wx report when asked, which I don´t know if it´s normal that ATC repeats it every now and then. One little issue that I did come across was in heading variation... My flight plan is from LEBB to LEDA (short route to test things), from LEBB my first waypoint is LUKEP which on my onboard G1000´s flight plan is at 119º 7.6nm, but on the RC screen shows 125º 8nm, all this at ramp start, so as you can see there is a difference. Any Ideas? Iam using the Flight 1 Cessna Citation Mustang. On this sentence (above post) I don´t know what you mean Ronzi... In setting your .flt/.wx path in RC that is where the flightplans are usually stored in your documents folder with the path you mentioned. Again thanks Ronzi, you have been of great help, and again except my apologies for my poor knowledge with FSX till date. Iam doing my best to get the grip on this, doing alot of reading. Hi, Ok I have to say I was way confused with how the way FSX loads plans! Iam terribly sorry for making so many questions and I apologize for my ignorance. I was convinced that when a flight plan was loaded you pop-up on the flight plan departure airport (as in saved game), which is not true. The FS planner puts your aircraft on the flight plan departure airport on the free flight screen and not on the actual fisical airport. Very sorry for this, it´s my bad indeed! I can now happily look into RC and aim sure I will have some questions to ask here, thank you all very much for your patience, time and effort to guide me in the right direction. Ronzi, Thank you very much for your extended help! Iam a bit new to FSX, been flying it for about 3 months now and dcided it was time to do the some real flying, which to me means learing how to do flight plans and how to follow ATC. So I bought FSBuild (latest version) and Radar Contact, along with the latest Navgraph cycle (1304) and some charts from Navgraph for my add-on airports. I thought this would be the right way to do it and learn the right way from the begining. I also updated 3 of my aircraft with Navgraph (AIRAC) cycle (1304). But since I heard that FSX is not up to date with Navaids and magnetic variation, I also updated that with the following link... http://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids.html I did the Magvar Data and FSX Navaids Update. Can´t say I didn´t do my homework. Since I bough FSB and RC, I cant say where my problems come from, along with the added Navaids update, and honestly this is all new to me. I can confirm that RC loads my flight plan done with FSB and I don´t use FS9, so I don´t think there is much of a problem there but I will follow your suggestions. I don´t own a full copy of FSUIPC I have the free version, but still I have downloaded recent version. Do I need a full version of FSUIPC to run RC? RC dose not move my aircraft, that´s not the problem. The problem is that I can not load a flight plan, done with FSB or the proper FS planner. When I load a flight plan being done with FSB or default planner it loads to screen, but when prompt to move my aircraft to (plan) airport location and I press "yes" nothing goes on, aim just back at the default FSX free flight screen. So I can´t load flight plans, I can only load saved game like " CS 757-200 cold-dark start-up" which was created by default when installed Capitan Sim 757-200 base pack. I have others created in the same way by other brand aircarft. On these saved game flights I CAN load RC, but cannot on created flight plans. So there´s no way I can load a flight plan right now. I did change my logbook to old and re-did my fsx.cfg (with all my camara views lost now). Unisntalled FSinn and FS Copilot, don´t know how to get rid of Squakbox. Now I don´t get crashes (fatal error) but yet have a different problem. When I load a flight plan or a saved flight, my aircraft is NOT moved to destination airport! So it just stays in the main screen without doing nothing, like if I never loaded anything. Very frustrated again. Any help is welcome. Thanks again Norman! Best, Mike

Hi all, First real post here :rolleyes: I just recently bought FSBuild and RC. First I had problems with FSB because it would not find my .pln path and would not save the flight plan. I fixed that by forceing a path line on the fsb2.cfg. Now FSB seems to work correctly. The problem is now that any flight plan I save, when I load them up I get a "fatal error" and get sent to the main FSX panel. The only flight plans that work with RC (to a point) are the ones that are burnt into FSX, not the ones created by FSB or the FSX planner. So I try the burnt flight plan and yes I do se the RC msg window within FSX but cannot choose on the menu or hear anything. The RC msg window has options in red text and I have RC key assigenments (with added ctrl to each nº) since I use EZDock Cam and the nº 2 is used by EZD. So I don´t know if RC is really working or not. Any Ideas of what I might have done wrong? Actually my head is a mess after all this... :unsure: Please shine some light on me! Thanks!
