  1. we thought pilots want to fly, not have to program or create charts etc. therefore you can simply install those charts that you purchased and they will display automatically as you enter the corresponding area. the MAP button lets you switch, "on the fly" between all map types you might have installed for any particular area.   2. the basic product comes with: world wide aerial + road maps off the internet,(requires xplane be online) Open Street Maps IFR low & high Altitude enroute charts USA + atlantic + pacific Airport diagrams for most US Class B airports VFR sectionals, topo, ICAO and Jeppesen, terrain Radar charts can be purchased separately and will be merged automatically. Users can import charts manually if they wish, but that should normally not be necessary.
