kool. will try it with engs running, it was on ground pwr'd on APU gen when i last tried. the (real) 744 secondary mode is live even on ground power, i guess different airplane so not the same even though similar design philosophy...
just to clarify whether all 3x modes of flap operation is simulated.
PRIMARY: flap handle selection = hydraulic drive.
SECONDARY: flap handle selection = elec drive after system fault is detected & associated SLATS PRIMARY FAIL &/or FLAPS PRIMARY FAIL eicas message/s show.
ALTERNATE: flap is manually operated electrically using ALTN FLAP controls on the pedestal (co pilot side).
it seems only PRIMARY & ALTERNATE modes are simulated....
much less muscle effort required to operate 777 & airbus type doors from inside or outside - user friendly. also hinge arm is where emergency open-assist cylinder is fitted
