Anyone knows if this addon could be used by REX4 owners (a kind of extension) or is unnecessary for them...?

I'm using Seagate's SSHD drive from some time and this is the best and only option if you are not fully convinced to SSD drives. In my case only my wallet stops me before buy SSD. The good news is that prices go down every month and I hope soon I will move my FSX/P3D to such disc. Rest of my games will stay on SSHD :]

According to today released new edition of PC Pilot Steam price of FSX will be about £20, download size about 11GB, Steam version will include all SP and Acceleration, multiplayer will be restored. Existing of boxed and Steam version is possible, but Dovetail not guaranteed that there will bo no problems. Many addons should be able to install on Steam edition, but not all of them...

Looking into the future you should buy Prestwick, Jersey and Heathrow only, because only those airports are for FSX and P3Dv2. Rest of them are for FSX and FS9 only. Do not buy Stansted because it will be updated next year. And don't forget about Christmas promo on UK2000 - now 2 airports are 25% cheaper, 3 - 30%, 4 and more - 40%

Markus,
The modelled city will enhance the package but I'm not buying at that price. I'll wait for the sales as will quite a few others I think.
Ray, to be honest I don't remember any FlyTampa or PMDG discounts during last year. Even at Black-Friday-super-discount-season, when almost all developers offer bigger or smaller discounts (btw. I'm waiting for next Black Friday at the end of this month B)). A few weeks ago SimMarket offer FlyTampa Athens with discount but it was exception to the rule. If you are non EU resident you are stiil on better position. EU citizens pay FlyTampa price + VAT...

I talked with Duncan Murray at Cosford FlightSim. He said that a new version will be released at the beggining of 2015. There will be a lot of new features with inviting other real pilots to your company among them. Personally I prefer to wait and spend more money for a newer product.

OR if you are using FSX and have some future plans to switch to P3D or XP B)
Btw. GTX 980 is cooler, quieter, with better performance, draws less electricity than 780Ti.

FSCloud, IVAO, VATSIM are only options for simmers using different platforms. Serwers from FSOpen are different for FSX and P3D unfortunately.

iFly 737 has got fantastic reviews on for example Mutley's Hangar (10/10) and other sim portals. I belive that iFly 747 will be fantastic as well. PMDG 747 is a very old bird - it was released in 2007! Ages ago when you look at hardware inside your computers and when you compare it to one year old 777... Don't forget about other factor - price. iFly announcement stated that when you choose more than one platform you can count for noticeable discounts. PMDG statement on the other hand was not so pleasant for ours wallets - we need to buy FSX and P3D version separately :( Maybe something will change after pllaned for this week PMDG annoucement :]

There's no guarantee Ifly version will be out any sooner. From first post published by Jannier before this one:
"Our team have been all working extremely hard to deliver our next product before the end of the year and the good news...., it looks like they have achieved their aim."

Don't forget that at Tuesday there is 10% extra discount for all stuff, including that one It means today's price from 0:00 to 23:59 australian time is AUD31.49 B)
P.S. AEST time to be precise.

Until 20th of October price of FlyTampa Athens is reduced from EUR 26.18 (EUR 22.00 exluding VAT) to EUR 19.64 (EUR 16.50 excluding VAT). Its a rare occasion to buy on of top-of-class FlyTampa airports cheaper then usually. Last time Athens were updates in 2011 and officially are for FS 2004, FSX SP2 DX9 and Prepar3D v2. Price is reduced on simMarket.com only.

As William wrote - turn off some gadgets can help. If you are using Steve's DX10 Fixer turn it on and agree for all lights changes proposed by program. Plus of course some reduction of slider of generated by FSX scenery.

Don't forget that new processor means new motherboard and probably new memory (maybe a new power supply as well). Water cooling is an excellent idea which allows you increase processor speed with some acceptable noise In my opinion Intel is at the moment the best for our simulators.

And what about ours computers performance? Steve can change a lot, but this is still old code, not updated program :(

You can fly in some small plane wothout any training when you buy a flight from some give-a-gift company. In UK such pleasure costs about 180 pounds for 1 hour flight. After a briefing you will taxi, take-off and fly in small, one engine plane. of course all the time with instructor on board and this instructor of course will land. This is only chance to be a pilot (only for just one hour, but still a pilot) in real life without serious training, exams and spent a lot of money.

From a short time on market we can buy Taburet Night 3D series, from some time Aerosoft Night Environment series and of course ORBX FTX Global/Vector/LC products. Anyone test all of them? If I'm not wrong all producers until now cover Norway (ORBX by default, Taburet and Aerosoft by dedicated editions) and this is a battlefield where someone could compare this products. Any owners-volunteers?

FS Real Time is a very good idea to fix problem with time zones and show you a proper Zulu Time on airplane clock (which is quite usefull on VATSIM or IVAO).
It will cost you $10 (via PayPal) on http://www.3dsoftworks.net/products/fsrealtime/ but you will not regret the expense

Buk missiles can shoot down plane flying even on 25.000 meters (82.000 ft) :(
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buk_missile_system
"Buk" means beech (a kind of tree) in english.

From BBC:
The director of Eurocontrol, which controls air traffic across Europe, says that Ukrainian airspace has now been closed after reports of the crash. Speaking to Radio 5 Live, Tytgat Luc said there were four aircraft flying in the same area at the same time that the crash occurred, but that they continued their flights.
Eurocontrol, which co-ordinates European air traffic control, has said Ukrainian authorities have now closed air routes in eastern Ukraine. All flight plans that are filed using these routes are now being rejected, Eurocontrol says, and the routes will remain closed until further notice. A crisis cell is being activated to co-ordinate the response to the impact of the airspace closure.

I totally agree with nickpap89. More differences will be easier to see on lower flight levels, a bit closer to civilization

According to Drzewiecki Design page FSX version should be avaiable next month. Like Moscow Sheremetyewo UUEE and Warsaw EPWA

Ehhh - my only concern will be to download 80 giga after some X-Plane sale on Steam

Must See! REX Soft Clouds

According to answer above from YouTube company release a new addon without any information and promotion action...
If this gentelman is really employee of REX this still sound just odd Maybe they try to check the power of "whisper marketing" :] Maybe they want to sell a few copies of this addon before statement like: "this addon is just simplified REX 4 and current owners will not find any difference". Who knows - we must wait a couple of days.
And other thing - its quite subjective to decide which clouds are more realistic or just look nicer then other, when we try to rank best programs/companies on the market :/
