  1. Well, Traffic Zapper IS in there, after all (FSUIPC version 3.99). But you have to know that in advance because it's not on the tabs, where I expected it to be. The reference I saw that indicated it was added on Version 4 and discontinued on Version 7 was in error. I ran with Traffic Zapper and it worked on the ai airplane that passed me up. It is better to remove one ai airplane than to jump to 8x time acceleration and back (or reset time one minute) to reset everything, in my opinion... Still, I wish Ai Smooth would detect my airplane. I was hoping there was some setting I could fix. Thanks, Kurt
  2. Hi! Apparently that Traffic Zapper started with FSUIPC Version 4, but those later versions don't work with FS2004. Interesting way to handle the encroaching ai, but there isn't really a "good" way. If I don't feel like going around, I just land anyway... Thanks, Kurt
  3. Hello, I have been using AISmooth Version 1.20 on FS2004 for some time. The program is doing a pretty job job preventing ai aircraft go-arounds, but it does not recognize my (User) aircraft even with the "User plane response" box checked. Often, an ai aircraft will overtake me, even 10 miles out on final approach, pass by, and then get cleared to land -- no intervention by AiSmooth. Have other people seen this and been able to correct it? I am using the default settings. Thank you, Kurt
  4. Hello, I set FSUIPC to supress cloud icing and have not seen the "airspeed goes to zero" problem since then. This also cured an additional problem I was having -- The Fokker F-27 I was using would shut down engines during cruise, regardless of using anti-icing systems. I didn't connect the engine shut-down with icing until a day or two ago. Best regards, Kurt
  5. Good Evening, The weather I'm using is FS Global Real Weather. And, thinking about it, that might be about the time I started to notice the airspeed dropping off as described. Prior to that, I was using FSRealWX Lite. Kurt
  6. Good Evening, I only started to notice this problem in the last couple of months. To me, it seems as though there is a timer on the "Pitot Heat" function that wasn't there before. (I have no explanation for it suddenly appearing). When I lose airspeed indication, I cycle the Pitot Heat switches and the airspeed returns in a few seconds. I have not tried leaving the switches alone to see if the indication restores itself, so will try to remember to leave things alone next time. Kurt
  7. Hello, I am using a DOS emulator (DOSbox) to run the old ATP airline flight simulator on this Windows PC. All the functions are working just fine. However, when I try to add the USA East or West scenery, the scenery becomes basically blank, just land and sky showing, no airports or details. I have not been able to figure out where the problem comes from. It seems familiar from many years ago and there was some solution, but I have researched around the internet and not found anything. Is anyone running ATP with the USA scenery packs, and do you know this problem I have? Thanks! Kurt
