Hi all, new to the site. I am having the same error come up when trying to install on my new laptop that runs windows 8.1. I have gone through the steps given in the link above, used the fix it app, but nothing has worked. Does anyone have any ideas? Would it be worth backtracking to Windows 7 ultimate to get the game to work(works on my old laptop).
