  1. I am loving this bird ! Flying it with my home-made force-feedback-system ( BFFSimulation-based ), feeling the rumble of the engine in the controls increasing, when applying power: GREAT ! In this moment i have only one whish for the future of this: More sound ! The sound recording is fine, but the level of the engine, compared to everything else, is way to low. I want to get rid of those headphones !! Just one week after release, seeing all those mods done within 7 days, i am quite optimistic 🙂 Best regards SloMo @ I remember the Milviz-Otter in P3D: This will be the next one, to complete the radial-fleet 🙂
  2. I enjoyed every minute, so far... IMO easier in Take-off and Landing than the Spit, and being a "slowflyer", hating high reving engines, i like the behaviour and sound of this thing very much. She is a little bit nervous on elevator-trim, and the VSI shows values between -1500 and +1500 without according changes of the visual horizont. Only negative aspect so far: This thing is far to big !! First saw the midget of the ground crew, in front of this plane and began to compare: The A320, rolling nearby, looks a little bit to small too... Finaly parked in front of a TBM, which has the same wingspan and so the Corsair seems to have 150% of the "real" size. Would estimate it to 18 meters. Reminds me a little bit on the early days of farming-simulator, where everything has it´s own scale.
  3. The fact, that FSUIPC is available for MSFS is very impotant too. As long as you have your Hardware working under FSUIPC, most of it will work. For me, the BFFSimulatin FFB-Hard- and Software works with MSFS as good as with P3D. All the other stuff i use ( Saitek-Panels, Knob-Boxes ) works well too.
  4. This will be a first-minute-buy for me. Have their Beaver and Otter in P3D: These guys know, how to handle the sound of a radial 🤩 Had a close look at the CRJ, found out they forgot the props and enginges, so it was an easy choice for me to save my money for this one 😎
  5. I think, i will add it to my NeoFly-Fleet for tourist-tours ! BTW a nice moove from the developer to make this free: best advertisement for upcoming Stearman f.e. and turning the upcoming rage into an overall good mood. SloMo @ and if this bird feels nice, there will be a donation, and if it is just for encouraging other devs to take the same approach !
  6. What keeps me often from flying is more the fact, that beeing tyred from dayly work, a hobby which needs a fair ammount of concentration and preparation has sometimes not the best chance against: - lay down on the couch - switch on netflix 🥱 -close the eys in very short time 😴 Sitting whole day in front of the screen, there are those periods, whilst it turns me simply off to: - start the gaming-pc - fire up Track-IR - fire up the FFB-equipment - fire up MSFS - fire up NeoFly - choose a location and bird to fly 🤔 - start up LittleNavMap for a flightplan - kick MSFS into the desired direction - still miss some good radial-engine-sound... - being shocked, that you are just now 15 Minutes older than a quarter hour before 😬 BTW: During the last few days i really enjoied flying a lot with NeoFly, just making short hops in the west-us-region, changing planes sometimes from flight to flight. I spent a serious ammount of time and money to build up a FFB-system ( based on BFFSimulation-electronics) at the end of last year, which brings me a lot of fun and motivation ( and works flawless than more than 70 hours in P3D and MSFS now ! ) Next step will be the change to VR ( had a lot of fun, using Oculus-Rift for sim-racing, but never mind to use it in MSFS because of the lacking resolution...) Best regards SloMo who is still waiting for the DC3 and the Corsair !
  7. Please check the "Add-On-section"-"Aircraft" in the "official" forum: There seems to be a workaround or replacement-file for the HSI-problem of the carenado-birds. The problem is related to the loading-order of the planes, an if the Waco-Files stays active at last, there are some informations missing for the Seminole. Regards SloMo
  8. This would give me the uncomfortable feeling of beeing observed all the time.... 😉
  9. Thanks to Glen from this side too: I remember him, giving the advice to fix the clip on the headset some weeks ago. Absolute gamechanger for me: Reaching the borders of the detected space is now very rare. When positioned on the front of a cap, there are more moovements of the clip, and the distance to the TrackIR is less then on the headset: Double disadvantage ! My TrackIR is still on the upper edge of the screen, nearly on the same hight as the clip. What i find very usefull with TrackIR: When on final, simply "drop down" your head some 10cm ( or app. 4 inches for you... 😉 ), recenter by a simple button-press, and voila: Looking over the hood as having a neck-extension 🙂 As mentiones before: The WACO has the best pilots-position for me until now: The whole Sx-Pack is very good visible nearly all the time ! @ I am hoping, that they DON´T change the behaviour of this little beaty too much: Having learned how to handle it, and i don´t want to have another tamed plane, which can be handled without care... @@ very nice, to have a cockpit without GPS, but with DME: This is all i need for VFR in unknown regions
  10. I am using the default profile here. Most important is, to have "Center" and "Pause"-buttons mapped to the yoke... SloMo
  11. Using the "control-loader" software of Ian Hopper here ( BFFSimulation), and if you are not upset by a 10-page-configuration-sheet for each plane-profile, the options seem to be endless... For example, i can give matching frequencies for ground-roll, estimated by the wheel-diameter. Beside the frequence, the amplitude can adjusted seperately. Same with the engine-vibrations: idle-frequence and amplitue adjustable, from this point on frequency-change and amplitude-change can be adjusted. ( And you can choose for each axis, which kind of vibration should be applied...) The overall amplitude/strenght of the engine-vibration is based on the actual fuel-consumption: A great choice, because even without any modifications, a given plane-profile reacts propper to more HP, and you have a very good feeling for the actual torque. It looks like Ian having supported cockpit-builders among his customers for some years now, and up to synchronized twin-FFB-Yoke-setups there are plenty of options for specific hardware situations. I started my build with a 3-axis, poti driven trim-device, but this is a little bit useless now, because unless you use motorized trimm-wheels, you will have problems when disengaging the AP and changing to your poti-given trim position : This thing has FORCE !! So i am working with buttons for trimming now, and this works fine. SloMo I was dreaming of flying like this since using a Sidewinder FFB with FS9 in the past, and for me, the FFB-Yoke/Pedal is really worth the amount of money and time, i spent on mine.
  12. I prefer the dark-blue version ! And i enjoy the fact, that the pilot-position is absolutely perfect for a track-IR-User. Perfect view outside and VSI and altimeter in the field of view when looking forward. HSI seemed to work for me. (Just tuned the ILS while doing VFR-Flights round Southampton. This bird probably brings me to add a FFB-Stick as an alternative to my BFFSimulation-FFB-Yoke. I had a 360°-grean on my face, when feeling the rumble in the yoke, after starting the engine, and, with yoke fully pulled during startup-run, this thing needs a lot of force to hold the tail down. Trim is working fine for me, so i didn´t miss the AP during 60 minutes-flights. ( Having a steam-VSI visible at the lower part of the field of view is such a great advantage, compared to G1000-equipment... ) BTW: Is there a possibility, to switch the outside sound into the cockpit ? : Unrealistic but sooooo cool: Radials forever !! SloMo hoping for the Beech18 as next Carenado-plane...
  13. Voted allready... I am using my home-build equipment, based on the BFFSimulation boards and software for 3 weeks now, and i am very sattisfied with this !! After getting used to the main parameters, it is quite easy, to achieve an at least believable behaviour for new planes. Starting with the new WACO, pulling the elevator and feel the elevator-force increasing during start-run is soooo great 🙂 In case of interest: I would be able to support builders with complete sets of mechanical parts, because i decided, to build up in laser-cutted and bended sheet-metal design, having to buy some sets of the structural parts. Next step wouls be, to build up a FFB-stick, interchangeable with the yoke. Therefor i build up my system with a seperate control-box, including the BFF-Boards, so i can use the electronic parts for both devices. Actualy, i am searching for matching motors with gearboxes, because in a stick with round about 2x15° stroke, it is not so easy, to achieve the needed motor-rotations between the end-positions...
  14. What can be made out of the TM TPR: Just add those, to complete the rig: The Yoke-Handle is made of 30mm stainless-steel-tube, and can be changed. I just added 2x3 switches on top. The gaps in the front plate give me/you the chance, to add individual layouts of switches/toggles without design-changes of the metal-parts. Strokes and forces are comparable to the greater Brunner-Yoke, and the weight of the Yoke is 18 kg..... As mentioned above, i have some parts-kits available, because i decided, not to use my CNC-milling-machine to build up only one prototype/system for me. Instead of that, i ordered laser-cutted and bended parts from supplier nearby. I had to take 3-4 sets of those parts, but maybe, someone else is interested. The complete price of the FFB-set will probably be between a Yoko-Yoke, which in my opinion is a huge amount of money for fighting against some rubber ropes furthermore, and the Brunner-set, which was out of my range. ( Of course, i spent at least the same amount of money because of the remaining parts, not to mention the amount of time to make the design and build-up, but i see this as a kind of invest.... 😇 ) I will test my equipment some more days, and then i will give more information about the costs and sources for the needed parts. Regards SloMo @ FFB from BFFSimulation works great with FSUIPC7. Beside flying MFS, i made a new installation of P3D v4, just to fly the DC3 with FFB: It is absolutely great, a dream become true, and trying to fly without propper trimming might replace other sport.... 💪
  15. I was a user of the Saitek-Pedals for years ( of only few flight-simulating ). In July i decided to build up a set of FFB-Devices, based on the boards and software of Ian Hopper ( BFFSimulation ). I had the idea of using the Thrustmaster-Pendular-Pedals as a base for my FFB-set, bought them in August and never regretted this. Very precise, adjustable in many ways, rock-solid metal frame and levers ! 2 weeks ago, i finished the FFB-project, motorized the totaly unchanged Thrustmasters from behind by a Lichuan-servo-Motor and a chain-driven gear. Until now, i am totaly flashed by the flawless working system: There is no loose in the system, and the layout is made for forces up to 200N. When applying ground-roll-vibrations, the quality of the effects are comparable to my Fanatec-equipment, used for sim-racing. The complete system rudder-pedals/FFB-drive costs me roundabout 60% of the brunner FFB-Pedals. If anyone is interested, there will be part-kits available. Regards SloMo
