Since UTX is textures, vectors and landclass info, in order to utilize the UT textures it makes sense to place UT libraries above the ORBX ones and below any specific local sceneries you may have in your FSX scenery library. The scenery with UT Landclass - vegetation installed looked "worse" than the default Orbx Global scenery to me (aggressively placing landscapes where residential areas should be). For some reason tweaking the landclass types activation from within UTX setup did not work the way I expected it to, so I unchecked the "UT Landclass - vegetation" library in the FSX scenery library setup instead. This gave me the result I was looking for. Speaking of lights, UTX lights are much brighter, but strongly affect FPS. Global's vector lights work OK for me leaving some extra CPU crunching power for other needs. So I have all the installed regions UT lighting unchecked in the FSX Scenery Library setup menu. Btw UTX's new "rival" Orbx FTS Global Vector did not impress me at all. It does not look as nice as UTX, and on top of that it does not have an uninstaller so removing it from your sim could become quite a hassle. For now, Orbx Global + UTX looks the best combination to me.
