The Douglas X-3 Stiletto was an experimental aircraft made in the 1950's to research speeds above Mach 2. Unfortunately the engine used was not good enough to power it to the required speed and the project was shelved after only a few test flights. This freeware version of the Stiletto has been produced for the X-Plane community by Dan Hopgood and has been fictionally equiped with engines of the correct power requirement to give us the aircraft that should have been. A quick review and flight of the Alizé which was a French carrier-based anti-submarine warfare aircraft developed in the 1950s. It was equiped with sonobuoys and a CSF radar system with a retractable antenna dome. It could also carry a Mk 43 torpedo or depth charges. After upgrading from 2.10 not all the instruments will display at the same time. It displays perhaps 80% of the instruments. It seems totally random which ones disappear and I cant pinpoint the culprit. I have gone back to 2.10 for now. Can anybody help?

I have used three Cereproc voices with P2ATC. All have been successful (Adam, Jess and Stuart) I have just purchased two more in the sale but I have not tried them yet. I had only one problem when one of the P2ATC updates stopped the 'Pilot' voice (the one that you use to reply to the ATC) from working and it reverted to Microsoft Anna. This problem has been fixed in the latest 2.1.0.1 update. So.. Hurrah! I use Windows 7 64bit and X-Plane Cheers Dave Simmons

Hi Dave, I have some voices by Cereproc that I use to add a bit of variety to the ATC. I have noticed that since the 21 update the reply in the 'Pilot' voice is always Microsoft Anna no matter what I designate it as in the 'voices' config tab. All other voice designations seem to work OK. I have Windows 7 and X-Plane. Thanks. Dave Simmons.

Hi Dave, I have found out how the problem occurred but not why. Because I am waiting for X-Plane 11 to be released I changed the name of my 'X-Plane 10' folder to 'X-Plane 10.51' (for an update reason) I then changed the Pilot2ATC Config/Flt Pln folder to 'X-Plane 10.51' I guess that Pilot2ATC did not like this and refused to save .vbf files. Now I have changed the name of my X-Plane folder back to 'X-Plane 10' Pilot2ATC is saving flight plans OK. The moral for me is not to fool around with things when everything is working fine. (I will never learn) Thanks for your help. Great program by the way Dave Simmons

Hi Dave I have tried all types of flight plans. I can export as .fms though and import and load .vbf plans, just not save them. I will do some more 'investigating' tomorrow. I guess if no one else has reported this problem then it must be something in just my installation. I will probably try a fresh full install and hope that works?? Thanks Dave Simmons

A small problem I know. When I used to change frequency by clicking the COM1 and the STBY frequency swapped over, there was a ding/ping sound. This does not happen now. Although this is a minor problem it is very useful to me as I use the copilot to automatically change frequency and the ping sound is a good indicator that it has been done. Thanks Dave Simmons

Since the last 2-3 updates (17-19 I think?) I have not been able to save any flight plan in .vbf format The config/Flt Pln tab points to the correct save folder. The save function seems to execute but no file is produced. I am using X-Plane on Windows 7 Thanks Dave Simmons

Hi Dave, Sorry to add to your burden but I have come across this 'confusion?' which might well be me not understanding the procedure but anyway..... Below is the speech of part of a VFR flight where I contact Approach and ask for a visual straight-in which is approved. ATC then says I don't have approach clearance though I thought I already had it? After a long time muddling through I realize that ATC wants to know what 'pattern' of approach I want. Would it be clearer if ATC asked "What sort of approach pattern would you like?" I have probably misunderstood something and if so I offer my most profuse apology.
