Really simple scenery design?

Really simple scenery design?
I was kinda looking for a program that allows me to easily make really basic and simple scenery, as well as basic edits, in FS2004. For starters, I'd like to move the Eifel tower just a bit (in a specific scenery pack I have it is misaligned with the ground photo scenery). I'd also like to place some basic hoops, pylons, and boxes for simple race courses... Any good suggestions?

Odd tree issue
I have my trees suddenly appearing as empty white rectangles ... no matter where I am at. Any ideas?! Nevermind. Should've done a search first... Common issue it seems. Nevermind. Should've done a search first... Common issue it seems.

Still finding a use for FU3
I dunno about anybody else, but I still find one solid use for FU3: The Stemme. It just gives me such a satisfying soaring simulation that I have yet to replicate in any other sim. Even with FSX (finally) having thermals built into the sim, you still have to artifically place the gliders into the air. And while X-Plane does do towed take offs and glides, nobody has yet to fully replicate the Stemme. I mean, there is a highly-detailed version of it in the file libraries, but nobody has figured out how to fully simulate stopping the engine, braking it, and then tucking it inside the nosecone. It's just such a satisfying motorglider to fly in, and only FU3 seems to offer a full experience with this wonderful craft. Only problem I have nowadays, with the sim running in Vista, is the ATC window. When I bring it up my FPS drops to like 1 or so. Anybody have any ideas how to fix that?

MiG 29 Fulcrum Recommendations?
THIS. Thank you. This gave me what I was after. =) Thanks for the suggestions, but this didn't really help me. I'm not after combat. The Fulcrum is known for more than just dropping bombs. It's also a fantastic acrobatics jet, among other things. =)

MiG 29 Fulcrum Recommendations?
I am seeking a good freeware Mig 29 Fulcrum aircraft, and the only one I have come across is one over at FlightSim.com that has excellent liveries and external models, but with seemingly a total absence of any flight model that I can ascertain. Pushing it to full throttle gives me 1,700 kts and it ignores all stick inputs. Anybody have any ideas on a good model? I have pegged down a payware one in case all options fail, but I'd rather try a freeware option first.

Suddenly won't boot
I had like 180gigs of stuff installed - Goodness knows what the actual problem was. lol
-
Suddenly won't boot
Zero clue what the heck happened ... blew out the entire install and reinstalled a fresh copy ... I'll just re-install the scenery and planes as needed.

Suddenly won't boot
Nope: Exact same issue. =(

Suddenly won't boot
Okay, let me give it a try. Also rebooted and ran CHKDSK - like the first thing I do in any situation.

Suddenly won't boot
So, today, I try and boot-up FS9, just like normal, and after the splash screen stays up for a bit, and a flurry of HD activity, it just dumps straight back to the desktop. WtH?! Nothing has changed... Is it possible something got corrupted, and I need to reinstall the base sim?

FS9.5
Yeah, the one sweet perk of having older software like this is that I can now turn FSAA and Anisothropic Filtering up to like x16 each and still hit high FPS. Also, turn on Extended Terrain Textures if you can... Big photosceneries like the MegaCity packs can still draaaag during loading with this on, but if you fly up high it's worth it. I've found that with FSAA an filtering cranked-up I can do the full 8 mipmapping setting without shimmering, like they said above. And agree totally about SweetFX... Depending on my mood I can make it look nice and realistic, ir bright, colorful and vibrant. I personally have found the biggest difference, for me, between 2004 and FSX is that my custom AI traffic pack, at a place like SeaTac, has so many planes approaching, taking off, parked, and taxiing that It's just CRAWLING with life... Along with gobs of service vehicles even. In FSX I get like 6 planes and that's it. LoL Also, truth be told, it's probably also the 110+ gigs of add-ons I have that help make the sim look good for me... I mean, MegaScenery Northwest, with my huge traffic pack, with FlyTampa's SeaTac pack, enhanced mesh... And all the little custom airports like Georender's Ranger Creek tucked away... That all just helps.

Getting Lost North of Como, Switzerland
The mysteries of ZFT2 in Switzerland! This was part of the original flght plan, but the shots I took got lost somehow. I flew back out there. Off the coast of Stresa, headed towards the seaplane landing area. I turned the Vibrancy of SweetFX to full, because I'm not fully interested in photorealism - more like bright, colorful, vibrant adventuring. Those islands up ahead are the things I seek in my flights. What are they?! For centuries Stresa has been a popular retreat for Europe's aristocrats, who have endowed the town with a number of villas. Tourism increased substantially after tunneling of the Simplon Pass allowed train services from north of the Alps to pass through Stresa in 1906. In 1948 American author and journalist, Ernest Hemingway visited the town. Okay, so ... Stresa ... but look at this island! Gardens, and fancy looking buildings. Wikipedia: The Borromean Islands (It. Isole Borromee) are a group of three small islands and two islets in the Italian part of Lago Maggiore, located in the western arm of the lake, between Verbania to the north and Stresa to the south. Together totalling just 50 acres (20 hectares) in area, they are a major local tourist attraction for their picturesque setting. This first one is Isola Bella, named for Isabella, countess Borromeo, was originally a largely barren rock; after first improvements and buildings, opened by count Carlo III between 1629 and 1652, his son Vitaliano the 6th built an attractive summer palace, bringing in vast quantities of soil in order to build up a system of ten terraces for the garden. The unfinished building displays paintings by Lombard artists and Flemish tapestries. Real life photo can be seen here. The next one is Isola Madre, the largest of the three, is also noted for its gardens, which are maintained from about 1823 in an English style. Its palace, though uninhabited, is splendidly furnished with 16th- to 19th-century Italian masterpieces and paintings. Real life photo can be seen here. And this third one I wasn't able to properly identify. Hovercraft ferrying tourists around to the various islands!

Getting Lost North of Como, Switzerland
It worked for me, with just Switzerland Pro installed in the area. Thank you!
