  1. I was kinda looking for a program that allows me to easily make really basic and simple scenery, as well as basic edits, in FS2004. For starters, I'd like to move the Eifel tower just a bit (in a specific scenery pack I have it is misaligned with the ground photo scenery). I'd also like to place some basic hoops, pylons, and boxes for simple race courses... Any good suggestions?
  2. I have my trees suddenly appearing as empty white rectangles ... no matter where I am at. Any ideas?! Nevermind. Should've done a search first... Common issue it seems. Nevermind. Should've done a search first... Common issue it seems.
  3. I dunno about anybody else, but I still find one solid use for FU3: The Stemme. It just gives me such a satisfying soaring simulation that I have yet to replicate in any other sim. Even with FSX (finally) having thermals built into the sim, you still have to artifically place the gliders into the air. And while X-Plane does do towed take offs and glides, nobody has yet to fully replicate the Stemme. I mean, there is a highly-detailed version of it in the file libraries, but nobody has figured out how to fully simulate stopping the engine, braking it, and then tucking it inside the nosecone. It's just such a satisfying motorglider to fly in, and only FU3 seems to offer a full experience with this wonderful craft. Only problem I have nowadays, with the sim running in Vista, is the ATC window. When I bring it up my FPS drops to like 1 or so. Anybody have any ideas how to fix that?
  4. THIS. Thank you. This gave me what I was after. =) Thanks for the suggestions, but this didn't really help me. I'm not after combat. The Fulcrum is known for more than just dropping bombs. It's also a fantastic acrobatics jet, among other things. =)
  5. I am seeking a good freeware Mig 29 Fulcrum aircraft, and the only one I have come across is one over at FlightSim.com that has excellent liveries and external models, but with seemingly a total absence of any flight model that I can ascertain. Pushing it to full throttle gives me 1,700 kts and it ignores all stick inputs. Anybody have any ideas on a good model? I have pegged down a payware one in case all options fail, but I'd rather try a freeware option first.
  6. That Tupolev cockpit is SO Russian. =)
  7. How much postage do you need?
  8. Flying around in mild storms near SeaTac. No idea what the fireworks are for... (MegaScenery Pacific Northwest 2005, Active Sky 7, default plane)
  9. I had like 180gigs of stuff installed - Goodness knows what the actual problem was. lol
  10. Zero clue what the heck happened ... blew out the entire install and reinstalled a fresh copy ... I'll just re-install the scenery and planes as needed.
  11. Nope: Exact same issue. =(
  12. Okay, let me give it a try. Also rebooted and ran CHKDSK - like the first thing I do in any situation.
  13. So, today, I try and boot-up FS9, just like normal, and after the splash screen stays up for a bit, and a flurry of HD activity, it just dumps straight back to the desktop. WtH?! Nothing has changed... Is it possible something got corrupted, and I need to reinstall the base sim?
  14. Fly the Lakes is highly recommended by me! =)
