  1. Hello, all! Thanks to everyone who voted. After all replies, emails, and the twitter poll counted, we're happy to announce that Richmond International Airport (KRIC) in Richmond, Virginia will be developed. So as of now, Richmond and one other airport will be "side projects" until our main project is completed. Please continue emailing, messaging, and tweeting us airports you'd like to see us make! We take every single one into consideration, so don't be shy! Also, be sure to add us on Facebook: East Coast Simulations - and follow us on Twitter: @ECSimulations Email us! [email protected] Thanks, everyone! - Kyle Kato
  2. Hi everyone! Only two days left to vote for our next airport! You can vote by: 1) Replying to this post 2) Sending us a PM/DM 3) Emailing us - [email protected] 4) Filling out the poll on our Twitter: https://twitter.com/ECSimulations/status/693913664391254018 Thanks! -Kyle Kato - EC Simulations
  3. That doesn't mean MSN is completely out of the question We may put it in another survey later down the road! At the current point in time, we are only doing US airports, but we look all over the country for ideas. Not entirely limited to the east coast - Kyle
  4. Hello all, First off I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Kyle Kato, and I am one of the three co-founders of East Coast Simulations, or EC Sims for short. We are a scenery design group for FSX and P3D. So a little about us: for those of you who do not know us (most likely all of you ), we are a group of three high school age guys with a passion for aviation. The other two members of our group are Wesley Chin and Sam Delacruz. For those of you on YouTube, you may know CathayA340 Planespotting and ZNYSpotter. Wesley is the founder of CathayA340, while Sam and myself co-founded ZNYSpotter. You probably will not hear from Wes and Sam that much, because they're hard at work on designing and creating our sceneries (something I'm not very good at ). So for myself, I'm the social media and website guy; I run the emails, Twitter and Facebook accounts, forum posts, and our website. All three of us fly on the VATSIM network, and we also control in the New York ARTCC on VATSIM. Anyway, that's a little bit about us. Now to the good stuff. We have already created three small freeware airports, and they're available for download on the AVSIM library. We have started our next airport, which will be a lot more detailed, realistic, and accurate than our other three. Our next airport will also consist of custom polys/afcads, custom handmade buildings and terminals, and a season changing photoreal background. Screenshots are on our Twitter and Facebook! Also, we are currently running a poll on our Twitter account for a smaller airport to create. Please check it out and vote! https://twitter.com/ECSimulations For those of you not on Twitter, you can reply to this post with your vote! KAVP - Wilkes-Barre, PA KRIC - Richmond, VA KSYR - Syracuse, NY KCAE - Columbia, SC Lastly, we are open to any and all airport requests. If you'd like to request and airport to be designed, please reply to this post, PM us, or email us at [email protected] Thank you all, and we hope to hear from you soon! Kyle Kato - East Coast Simulations Co-Founder P.S. - Here are our other three sceneries on the AVSIM library: Telluride Regional Airport, Telluride, CO - KTEX - http://library.avsim...cen&DLID=190851 Trenton-Mercer Airport - Trenton, NJ - KTTN - http://library.avsim...cen&DLID=190849 Leesburg Executive Airport - Leesburg, VA - KJYO - http://library.avsim...cen&DLID=191475
  5. We have created our poll. Please reply to which airport you'd like to see made next! KAVP - Wilkes-Barre, PA KRIC - Richmond, VA KSYR - Syracuse, NY KCAE - Columbia, SC For those of you with Twitter, here is the official poll: https://twitter.com/ECSimulations/status/693913664391254018 Thanks everyone! - Kyle
  6. Hi, everyone! We'd like to sincerely apologize for disappearing over the past few months. All three of us have been set back on a physical state, leaving us "sidelined" for a bit... but that's a story for another time. Anyways, we have looked at all the requests and will narrow the list down to 5-10 airports. We will then put a poll here and on our Twitter account, and the one with the most votes will start getting worked on! Here is our Twitter, be sure to follow us and read all our recent posts: https://twitter.com/ecsimulations Thanks to all and please be sure to spread the word! - Kyle Kato - EC Simulations Co-Founder
  7. We now have a to-do list of 13 airports! Thank you all for taking the time to reply! If you would like to be added to our email list to be notified when a new scenery of ours is put on AVSIM, PM us, or shoot us an email, and we'd be glad to add you to the list! Thank you all, and a goodnight from Jersey! Wesley Chin and Kyle Kato - EC Simulations
  8. Frank, Thank you for the information! We have taken a look at KESN and it definitely looks feasible for us. It's great that you are looking to do some scenery development, it's great fun! There are a few programs that you will need to get started such as Airport Design Editor, which will help you edit the AFCAD (taxiways, runways etc). A good website to use for information is fsdeveloper.com - it's a great forum with lots of helpful people! Personally, we used several sources such as videos, forums and manuals. A good tutorial series on YouTube is linked here : In that tutorial, you will be able to edit the AFCAD with Airport Design Editor, create a seasonal photoreal background, create land/water classes, make 3-D buildings and more! If you really would like to get in depth with 3-D building creations, check out this YouTube tutorial : In that series, you will learn how to make an airport hangar with Sketchup. Hope this helps, Wesley Chin and Kyle Kato - EC Simulations
  9. Frank, That's awesome! Trenton is a great airport and has lots of nice facilities. We actually live around the area so it is quite familiar to us. Would you be interested in some small airfields around KTTN? We have a complete version of Princeton (39N) and would be happy to work on other small airports such as N51, N87 etc. Both of us are training for our PPL's in the area. Hope you enjoy the scenery and happy flying! Thank you, Wesley Chin and Kyle Kato - EC Simulations
  10. Not any of today's requests. We are currently working on two older requests, and once they're finished we will get started on today's airports. Here are our three finished airports and their download links: Telluride Regional Airport, Telluride, CO - KTEX - http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fsxscen&DLID=190851 Trenton-Mercer Airport - Trenton, NJ - KTTN - http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fsxscen&DLID=190849 Leesburg Executive Airport - Leesburg, VA - KJYO - http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fsxscen&DLID=191475 All airports contain the must up-to-date AFCAD files and custom 3D buildings! Thanks! Wesley Chin and Kyle Kato - EC Simulations
  11. Hello everyone, Thank you for taking the time to submit requests for airports! We appreciate them, and we will look into it. Feel free to submit as many requests as you like, all will be considered. Each scenery can take from a few days, up to a few weeks depending on the size and difficulty of the airport. We are also a three-man team, making the process a bit slower than other scenery developers. We will do our best to put out new sceneries as quickly as possible, while keeping good quality. Our next airport is in the making and will be completed soon as the AFCAD is complete and 3D buildings are underway. If you have any comments, more requests, suggestions for improvements or anything, email us at [email protected]! Thank you, Wesley Chin and Kyle Kato - EC Simulations
  12. Hello everyone! For anyone that would like any specific airport updated to the most current form, we would be more than happy to do so! We have just started making sceneries, and if there are any small-medium sized airports that you'd like an AFCAD update done to, with custom 3D buildings, please don't hesitate to email us all your requests at [email protected]! Thank you! Kyle Kato - EC Simulations
